Quite the personality, hope she sticks around.
Finally had the chance to stop in here and pickup some food, something I had tried a few times in the past but always found the doors closed. Turns out Annie is running the show solo currently, which may explain why.
Be that as it may, the place was open, my meal was prepared, and she had my name tattooed on her neck. It was meant to be! Went with an order of Onion Rings and the Chicken Monfogo, however the rungs became chicken fingers after I got a call back letting me know she was out of onions.Oh well.
Pickup was easy, it did take her a little bit to see to me, but I didn’t mind as I could tell she was running around doing everything at once. I know how that can feel. Total came to $27, discounted because she gave me the chicken fingers on the house. So I picked up a Tres Leche cake slice to make up for it, plus, knowing the cake is homemade had me intrigued.
Back home I dug in, devouring the chicken fingers, which were nicely fried. The monfogo was something I have never tried before, and it certainly was an experience. The chicken was great, and I liked most of the monfogo’s center piece, with a few exceptions being some very hard hitting flavors and textures my mouth did not enjoy. But it was a learning experience, so fairs fair. The cake however, my goodness, heavenly! A perfect slice of tres leche, not too wet, not too sweet, and just the right amount.
Overall, my thoughts remain the same. I enjoyed the meal, loved the dessert, and the owner was charming as heck.

Great food! I highly recommend trying a little bit of everything because it’s all delicious. The beef stew was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The baked ziti with grilled chicken was just as impressive. Everything we tried was really good. Definitely coming back!

Food was delicious! Not sure if Annie was the one I was speaking to but she was very nice and did a great job with the food. I didn’t even know they were there until they popped up on an app I use and I’m glad I found this place because it was great. Highly recommended!

Outrageously good food! We had the pork shoulder with yellow rice, chopped chicken sub, and fried plantains, and every bite was phenomenal.
Accessibility: one-story with no steps to get in and (I think) plenty of space to navigate assistive devices between tables, though the entrance doors are manual only.
Family: high chair available but no changing table in the bathroom, staff was very sweet with our little one!
