We were in the area for an errand.. first time customers. We arrived at 8:04pm (had called ahead and told kitchen closed at 8:30) and were greeted by our friendly server, Taylor. Quiet atmosphere with a large party and a couple of small parties ending their meal.

We had the stuffed long hots (VERY hot!), the salmon and the chicken off the menu. Our server offered the chicken over pasta which was a great idea! We had a take out order of the nonna’s ravioli with the prime rib meatball. The food was all very tasty and reasonably priced. We sat in a cute semi private high top table- “The Wine Cellar”.

Taylor was great.. friendly and helpful.. and we hope to come back and check out the quaint shops on the street and hopefully the halibut from the menu.

It’s upsetting to give a negative review to any establishment but this is for an opportunity for Annata to improve in several areas.
The bread was meh with a dip which tasted like bottled dressing with capers.
Appetizers: Escargot severed over fried base which was not a compatible. Try good rustic bread drizzled with butter-garlic sauce topped with escargot.

The Vineyard salad was a Vintage salad. Not fresh lettuces; one step to wilt-throw out tomorrow. No crunch when fork picked up any leaf-not good!

Plain Oysters on half-shell with lemon; only 5 were served. In dining from East & West Coast and Europe “6” oysters were always plated, unless bought per oyster.
After inquiring the servers were totally confused. 15 mins later I was told “That’s our policy.” Googled it; 6 is the normal serving across the board.

The Chilean Sea Bass was cooked well. Unfortunately it sat in a both that was laden with oil one couldn’t dip the mediocre bread into it if desired. There was a ring of oil in the bowl with herbs stuck to the sides.

My birthday guest ordered prime rib ravioli with a lump of burrata in the middle. It was not warm enough to blend into the skippy amount of sauce. The ravioli was al dente, very good. Burrata serve with pasta should be blended into both creating a creaminess that uplifts the sauces clinging to the pasta. This did not.

Looking for tiramisu but disappointed as it a “no show” in the dessert menu.

The atmosphere was tired & uninspiring. Servers are pleasant but not experienced.

Bathroom was almost clean.

I’m very sorry that I can not recommend this establishment.

Soooo.. been a customer for many years.. Annata WINE BAR has been in transition in 2025… Food is still amazing and delicious!!. The very extensive “wine by the glass” selection is gone.. They do offer two nice Italian red wines by the glass (my favs), but the extensive selection from around the world is now gone.. Hoping to see a revival of the wine list in 2026!! Cheers!

The ambiance was pleasant and the wine list was strong, which initially set a good impression. Unfortunately, the food fell short.

We started with a cheese platter, which was disappointing. It appeared to be the same cheese served in three different piles, lacking variety. They were also out of my first entrée choice, so I opted for the salmon. The skin was a little too burnt and the overall presentation lacked.

My friend ordered the lamb chops and felt similarly underwhelmed, noting they weren’t very flavorful or memorable.

Overall, while the setting and wine selection were nice, the food didn’t live up to expectations for us.

**Annata Wine Bar – A Hidden Gem in Hammonton**

Annata Wine Bar in Hammonton turned out to be the perfect spot for an impromptu celebration! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the ideal setting for a relaxed gathering.

Their wine selection is nothing short of impressive. With a wide variety to choose from, there’s something to cater to every palate. I was particularly impressed by the knowledgeable staff who helped me find the perfect glass to complement our meal.

Speaking of the food, the scallops were absolutely divine! Perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, they were a standout dish. While I didn’t have the chance to explore the rest of the menu, the quality of the scallops is a testament to the kitchen’s expertise.

Overall, Annata Wine Bar exceeded my expectations. It’s a fantastic spot for a casual night out or a special occasion. I highly recommend it!

We had an outdoor dining experience here and the patio area that they added after Covid is spectacular. The white drapes, rustic wood and lighting all served to provide awesome ambiance.
The good was AMAZING! Great options, fresh and plated nicely.
The wine and cocktail selection was very nice.
Service was excellent, would highly recommend!

My husband and I went here for date night, and were seated outside, around 6:30. It was very cute and our waiter was extremely polite and came over frequently. It started to get busier around 7:30, but we could still flag the waiter; he was always in ear shot. We ordered oysters, the wings (which my husband loved!) and the long hots. Very nice night for us both.

Last night’s final vacation dinner was a doozy! I drove out to Hammonton, a darling little town that reminded me of back home. Unbeknownst to me, a classic car show was to be held on Main Street starting at 5:30, so the restaurant filled up fast. Luckily I had finagled a seat at the bar just after 5:00. I could tell right away that this was a place that locals frequented and were known by name. I loved that personal touch. Ashley was my bartender, and I started out with one of their specialty cocktails, I think it was the Spring Fling, a bubbly concoction of prosecco, lavender syrup, citrus vodka (I think), served in a coupe glass. I opted for one of their specials as my appetizer, burrata over frise, sliced radishes and charred fiddleheads, drizzled with a lemoncello/saffron vinaigrette. Delightful! My entree was their half portion of Nonna’s risotto with beef braciole. What a great idea to offer different sized portions! Jackie kindly explained the various menu options and did mention that it was a “stick to your ribs” kinda meal. She wasn’t kidding! It was delectable, but I was only able to savor one half of this half portion. Too bad I was leaving the next day, or I would have taken it with me to enjoy for lunch. Thanks for an enjoyable evening!

One of my favorite Hammonton places to go! Taylor is an amazing server and the food and atmosphere can be professional, friendly, or romantic. Warmer months offer outside dining which is adorable!
