Local counter-serve Mexican chain dishing up burritos, tacos & quesadillas in a warm space.

I have been going to this location almost weekly for 2.5 years because I work nearby, the burritos have gotten increasingly smaller over the years. Today presumably one of the managers made my burrito with a very small portion of carnitas, and then when I held my burrito it was small enough that I could touch the tip of my thumb to my middle finger, and fit the burrito through the space my fingers made. This was $9.60 burrito, without any additional toppings that require extra. The food quality is always mid, and the service is terrible. There are always two managers sitting on their computer eating chips and queso around lunch time. I’ve been going to Anna’s my whole life, and my family has been going there since the early 2000s. The nostalgia is what keeps me going there, but at this point if the burrito sizes continue to be this small it will be the end of an era. Overall rude staff, small portion sizes, and the quality is never consistent. I ordered a horchata after I ate and had to throw it out after 2 sips. Tasted nothing like they used to, or a horchata at any other restaurant. Anna’s has fallen off, a childhood favorite is now always a constant let down. The staff treat customers like they are a burden.

Got a burrito there. The tortilla was sopping wet after they poured a ton of grey water in the steamer while it was in there. It had a layer of what looked like melted sliced cheese on the base. When I asked what it was, the worker said it was more tortilla. It clearly wasn’t. “Super” burrito portion is very small on everything but rice. Made it through 3 bites before throwing the rest out. It had a really unpleasant odor.

My first visit to this restaurant was a disappointing experience. The staff seemed preoccupied with taking orders, and their sloppy handling of the food made me realize that I should have left immediately. Fortunately, I managed to get a burrito, but it was my first and last time there. The burrito was dirty and unappetizing, and even looking at it made my appetite disappear. When I finally tried it, it wasn’t even the best burrito I’ve ever had.

Warning: Food poisoning!
In early December 2025, I ate a meat burrito there. After that, I spent the entire night vomiting and had to go to the hospital the next morning. The doctors went through all possible causes and said it was very, very likely food poisoning. The burrito was the only thing I ate that day/evening that my friends did not have (and they were fine). So I can say with a high degree of certainty that it came from the burrito. I went through many horrible hours because of this restaurant. I’ve also read comments here from other people reporting similar experiences. Stay away from this place!

Went here for the first time and it was a horrible experience. They hide all their fees- the lady asked if I wanted vegetables and I said yes so she put corn in and apparently corn is a $1.75 surcharge. Who charges $1.75 for corn and doesn’t tell the customer?? They also charge $0.50 cents for sour cream and don’t tell you until after they make your food. Save your money and go to Chipotle instead. I will not be returning.

Mid-tier taqueria experience with decent food and drinks.
Anna’s Taqueria has been a reliable spot for Mexican bowls when I don’t have enough time to travel to other areas for my favorite taquerias in Boston. It doesn’t aim to be the best in town, but it is still a solid option for lunch and quick dinner.
From the variety of meat options, the birria and steak roja are my favorites. Although they come with an extra charge, its worth the upgrade. The birria, a slow-roasted beef, is very tender and fatty, which pairs well with other fresh vegetable toppings. Steak Roja comes with a bit of a kick, but offers a more flavorful bite.
Their Horchata, served in an impressively large size at an affordable price, tends to lean on the milder side. It might not be the most authentic version, but as a refreshing drink that’s an alternative to the usual soda, it does its job.

I ordered their 10″ regular burrito on uber eats and paid extra to “make it super”, which was advertised at 12″. The burrito ultimately measured at something more like 7.5″. Beware of false advertising.

Went to Anna’s with my family while in Boston. Overall, the food was good but the experience was not so much. We felt rushed while ordering even though it wasn’t busy. It was actually somewhat stressful. The chips and guac are a waste of money. Not enough guac and tastes average at best. The place was a bit messy. The floor on the lower level was wet. Soda machine didn’t work. No napkins in dispenser. Honestly, i wish we would have gone elsewhere.

Chicken salad – DELICIOUS
I tried their salad bowl with chicken. Their portions are big and will fill you up. If you’re getting the burrito, you can also size up! The salad was good, the rice and chicken could be better tho. For someone who is conscious about their diet, this place fits the bill.
