Anna’s Place is located in a renovated 1930-40’s home. Country charm meets shabby chic. The atmosphere was quaint and it felt like visiting family.
The food taste just like grandma used to make. My favorite was a buttermilk biscuit. Super friendly staff, good food, and great prices. I definitely recommend trying them out.

They got my order wrong and didn’t remake it. Said breakfast was over and we’re in between services. Waited an hour to go home hungry.

Really neat layout. Very comfortable and homey! Very friendly and engaging staff. Southern hospitality personified. The food was priced well but unfortunately it seemed like it was primarily frozen or canned and bought in bulk. I did not get the special so maybe that is a difference. But I got a hamburger and it seemed to have been a premade frozen patty. But for friendly people and simple comfort food I recommend Anna”s Place.

Have been wanting to try this one ever since we heard about it. Sorry we did. We both ordered the 1/4 pound burger with fries. I had tea & he had water. Our bill was $20 and the food looked the size of a child’s plate. The taste was nothing special. They were not busy but had to ask for refills. There are better places in the area. No second chance for us; we won’t be back.

Great little restaurant in Slapout/Holtville area right across from the High School. Very laid back and relaxing down home atmosphere. We ate over the weekend. Catfish, chicken fingers for kids, and french fries were great. The menu from Friday was up on the wall and it looked really good. The kids and I definitely wamted to go back during the week and try the weekday menus. I’ve heard great things.

After our bad experience here in October we decided to give it a second chance, but it won’t get a 3rd. Portions were small, fries were cold, sat through the meal without a refill on drinks even though glasses were empty when food was brought to the table. Check was brought out with the food and we never saw the waitress again. No ketchup was offered or brought to the table even though we had fries. While I can appreciate the dedication of this place to Anna’s memory, they need to work on the service.

I ordered meat and 2. Ordered fried chicken which comes with a drink. The other order was for catfish which comes with a salad and 1 side. My husband picked up the food. We did not have our tea, had to pay for the coke and no salad, the worst par was, for chicken they included 2 coke pieces of wings. When I called they said we couldn’t do anything and hung up on me and would not pick up afterwards. The worst service and will never order there again

We love driving through small towns, avoiding the Interstates as much as possible. One of the reasons is finding places like Anna’s. It’s a quaint place, with a comfortable vibe. The wsitress was very helpful, and the food was really delicious! The prices were way lower than expected. We’ll go back the next time we’re in the area.

Dont know where these other people ate, but not the Anna’s I eat lunch at weekly. Small portions? For a horse yes, but I often have to get a takeout box. As for service, they are some of the nicest servers I’ve experienced, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have dined at restaurants around the world. I have never had a bad meal there, but they are a small meat and three restaurant so if you go during lunch and order the seafood platter…well. Expectations should be for all of the lunch meat and 3 items to be served quickly and delicious home style southern cooking. Most all else will likely have to be prepared, and while that happens, the rest of us will be eating our way thru a plates FULL of delicious meals.
