We ordered catering for our baby shower and, unfortunately, the food and service on the day of the event did not meet expectations. On a positive note, Ashish was great to deal with during the planning stages. However, the execution on the day of the event was poor. Everything was delayed by an hour, which led to the entire setup and serving process being rushed. It seemed the team lacked the proper skills to handle a catering event of this size.
The main issue was the food quality and preparation. Several dishes were critically undercooked, including the bhajias and almost all of the deep-fried items, which were practically raw. The puri was also not fully cooked. We had a significant problem with seasoning; salt was consistently missing in both the main food and the pav bhaji, which required guests to have to ask for it. The quality of the Undiyo was weak. Due to these issues, tragically, 15 people left without eating. Additionally, some items were compromised or missing entirely: the majority of the Val liquid was lost during travel, and the fryums were missing. We also noted a lack of expertise in diverse regional cuisine. During the food tasting leading up to the event, it became apparent that the team was primarily experienced only in Gujarati cuisine, and they did not have the experience to properly prepare authentic dishes from other regions, such as Punjabi or Indo-Chinese cuisine. Even the Gujarati items fell short during the event.
