I’ve seen this place on several social media platforms and heard word of mouth that they were very good. I decided to order two meals for my spouse and I.
Chicken + Shrimp with Mac & yams
Chicken + Fish w Mac and Yams.
The flavors chosen for the wings were honey garlic & honey garlic lemon pepper. The chicken wings were very well seasoned & mouth watering. The chicken didn’t lack anything!! The honey garlic sauce was THERE ! Perfect amount of garlic to balance out the sweet taste.
The fried shrimp and fried fish were rated 8/10. I only say this because it wasn’t as crunchy as I was expecting, but the flavor was there.
Additionally, the Mac & yams were rated a 2/10.
Besides the 45 minute wait that had to be waited due to a fresh batch having to be cooked. The Mac and cheese wasn’t really mouthwatering & tasted like it lacked something. The candy yams weren’t really good. It just tasted like sweet potatoes with brown sugar, they weren’t necessarily candied in the presentation as well.
The cornbread 4/10.
It was very cold and hard. I also didn’t take the honey butter flavor I was looking for.
The strawberry lemonade was rated a 8/10.
The lemonade was very sweet, definitely had to be diluted with some water. The strawberry lemonade flavor was rich.
Overall rating would be a 7.5-8/10.
They were very generous with the portions and making sure the entire order was correct.
I would definitely come again and order the chicken and shrimp dinner just with different sides!

Saw on facebook and when i you this food DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Exceeded my Expectations, so delicious, the mac and cheese was perfectly made. Blueberry lemonade was so good, Collard greens was the perfect texture and flavor, The shrimp were SOO. GOOD. Chicken was amazing crunchy tasty perfect texture and flavorful. Everytime i tasted another side or food all i could say was MMMM MMM MMMM ANNA B. ANDD ITS AFFORDABLE.

I’ve known the owner since she was very young and when I tell you I don’t like other people’s soul food but this right here is sooooooo good. I’m super happy for her and her business thriving! But most importantly I’m a satisfied customer showing some love! This food is nothing short of amazing. Never bland, not over seasoned, never under seasoned… everything was just right. When you want it done right, give her time to get you right! Great job. We love you and will be back!
