Hands down the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever tasted! They were served fresh and warm, and they were much bigger than I expected. I also tried the breakfast sandwich and really liked it. It was delicious.
The restaurant has a great variety of breakfast options to choose from, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was amazing, super attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area!

Our group of 5 visited for the first time.
Restaurant was clean and was decorated for the holidays.
All of the food was hot and fresh. We ordered bacon, cinnamon rolls, yogurt and granola, biscuits with honey, a sausage wrap, and an omelet.
Service was prompt and courteous.
Restroom was well-maintained.
Suitable for all ages, and reasonable price point. Small inside, so most ideal for groups of 4 or less.
And another shout-out for the delicious cinnamon rolls!

I would describe the atmosphere as old chicsgo meets swedish teadtional. Easy on the eyes but still a history trip in decor. Everyone was kind, patient, and felt good. Super great breakfast place the Swedish coffee was delicious. I personally really like the bacon cheddar potato pancakes with a side of meatballs. The price was definitely worth it, expect about $25 per person if you get drink and all that. Love this old school place. They dont make em like this anymore!

I had such a pleasant experience today that I felt compelled to leave this review.

I stopped in around 12:50pm to order cinnamon rolls & a brownie to go and the service was fantastic. The gentleman that took my order was extremely kind and attentive, he provided updates on the wait time and even gave my toddler a cinnamon roll while we waited. The young lady that rang us up was equally kind and charismatic. I wish I would’ve gotten their names so I could directly acknowledge them in this review.

I must also note that the general vibe of the restaurant was inviting and I look forward to dining in next time.

Thank you!

Incredible food and super-fast service in a typical diner atmosphere. Despite being packed at 11 AM on Columbus Day, food came out lightning fast. Cinnamon rolls are out-of-this-world delicious, live up to the hype and couldn’t possibly be any better! Hot biscuits with honey and strawberry-orange-banana juice are on point as well. French Toast Fantasy and Southern Decadence are particularly outstanding, sausage and gravy are perfectly savory and salty.

One word: filthy. The restaurant barely meets sanitary standards, and the food tastes mediocre due to low-grade ingredients. I’m genuinely surprised to see such high ratings for this place on Google Maps. We couldn’t finish our meals and left as hungry as when we arrived. Those potatoes you see in the pictures are what they call their “newly invented hash browns.” The price is definitely not worth it I strongly advise spending your time and money elsewhere.

Ann Sather Restaurant (Belmont location) did not disappoint! Apparently, I have been visiting Chicago for years and have not discovered this gem until recently. The waitstaff were very attentive. The menu was filled with interesting and tempting breakfast and lunch options. Most of all – the food was AMAZING! I have French Toast and it was some of the best I have eaten. My friend had the Swedish special and raved about it, as well. I am so glad I found this treasure of a breakfast/brunch/ lunch spot!

Best place in Chicago for breakfast. Whether you want the Swedish pancakes with Lingonberries or my favorite; Salmon Dill Omelet, you must order a side of their famous Cinnamon Rolls.

Super busy and popular, you can’t go wrong with getting their cinnamon rolls either as a side or separately. It’s pretty loud inside, so it might be a little off putting, but it’s easier to ignore once the food arrives. The egg options are plentiful. I highly recommend getting the cinnamon rolls as one of the sides of you want to get the most food per each dollar or if you’re craving a sweet treat.
