I love this charming little establishment, but I’m going to say it. I feel like the tamales have slowly become less flavorful. There’s more of a processed taste to the meat filling and the corn shell is less corn-y, almost bland. I understand the fault may lie with their supplier or the corn varieties grown these days, but I feel less and less like dropping $13 for a dozen tamales on Sundays.

I love to eat their olive oil tamales. I buy chicken and bean tamales. Delicious! In addition, you avoid all the lard and instead eat them with olive oil. I highly recommend them. Every Christmas season I order them and picked them up on Christmas Eve!

Bought 2 lbs of barbaqua. 3 dozen tamales de puerco. It was my first time there. The tamales were delicious. But i didn’t enjoy the barbaqua. Its my fault because i didn’t know they put taco season in there barbaqua. Im use to the old school nothing but salt to taste lengua y cacheta. This is not the place for this kind of barbaqua. Would recommend just for the tamales.
