We were driving through from out of town, saw mostly good reviews so we stopped to eat. We were pretty disappointed. My hubby thought his mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and cheese were microwaved bc of the taste and the hot spots in the food. I got mac and cheese and chicken tenders with the honey bourban sauce with fries as my side. The sauce drizzle was actually the only yummy thing we had. I was kinda bummed there was only a small amount. The food looked okay but it just didnt taste like anything (excluding the honey bourban glaze) even tho we put salt and pepper on all of it… the service wasnt very good, we had to wait a little long for such simple food when they werent very busy. Lastly, we didnt get a refill on any water, coffee or pop so that was a bummer. Just really unimpressed and surprused by all the good reviews.

Stopped in for a late dinner. Menu options were good/average/adequate. Wait staff was mixed but our server was friendly and warm. The salmon Caesar salad was very good – the salmon was excellent except too salty on the top where a nice crust of seasoning flavored the fish. The Western burger was good and quite filling. The salad bar looked good but none of our party tried it. I think there were good dessert options but we were too full to try any.

I read reviews before going, I don’t usually do this, by the way! But I went anyways after seeing a lot of negative reviews. I got the prime rib, salad, broccoli, baked potato, and a roll came with it as well. That roll was super hot and had a great butter blend to go with it! Yummy! Salad was basic, a typical side salad, but large. So far so good! Now, my dinner comes out, then it all changes! Mind you, I ate at 4:30pm, they open at 4pm. My baked potato was old and cold, my broccoli was cold, my prime rib didn’t look as if it was cooked today, had no spices on it so it was pretty bland. It was cold as well, but I eat my steaks rare, so not a big deal. Service was ok. Never asked how my food was, or came back by after I got served, didn’t remove any dirty dishes when the check was brought, and still didn’t ask how my food was. She was very nice though when she was there. I ate, I’m full, but dissatisfied.

Food was good although my fries could have been hotter. I had the Western Burger which I liked. My wife had the salmon salad which was good. We were there at 8:00. The service was a little slow, but the waitress friendly.

I really hate to give this low of a rating since it is the best in town but the service was slow,probably because only 2 girls were sitting people taking orders and delivering the meal. As for the meal the rolls were cold and would of course melt the butter. The steak U ordered was 3/4 inch thick on one end and less than 1/4 on the other end. My cross cut fries and green were old.

I’m pretty new to living in the city, Angus Branch was one of the first places we tried. It was fantastic! the servers are always sweet and on top of things, and the food is always hot and to you in a reasonable amount of time. Its definitely one of my favorite places to eat. I order the salmon and it has been cooked perfect every time!

My first impression was that this was bar food with an added buffet. Then my wife and I ordered a simple chopped steak, and we’re absolutely blown away my how much it tastes like steak instead of just hamburger. It was an excellent meal the we continue talking about for the next thirty-five miles down the highway. Very pleasantly shocked!
