I really like this place. Service is always quick and friendly country folk. Food for the most part is well rounded. Most dishes being worth the price and tasting pretty good while also having specials almost every day. My favorite special being “wing day” (cant remember what day of the week it is) we’re each wing is a dollar. My only complaint is that they often run out of food during the evening so you have to get they’re durning 1-4pm to get the full menu. Other than that great place hope it opens back up soon.

My husband and I went to dinner last night and it was a pretty good experience. We had our baby and was given a table that was perfectly big for us! We sat for about 10 mins before our server came by but when she did she was very sweet! We got the crab dip which was one of the best I’ve had! I got the western burger and he got the land and sea burger both were great! And prices were very affordable. When we are back in town we will def we stopping by again!
Also an employee made cupcakes for Mother’s Day and our server gave me one- it was so sweet and thoughtful!

Tony and I had dinner tonight at the Angus and Ale. First let me say they won our business by default…they are located in the same parking lot as our hotel.

We had to wait to be seated because they were understaffed. Their hours are only 4-8pm…so not a lot of wiggle room there.

We ordered Half/Half Tea with lemon and lime and he got a Budweiser. He decided to get the Steamed Shrimp in Old Bay Seasoning, Green Beans and sweet potato fries. I went light a cup of their Stuffed Pepper Soup and side salad. They brought us a bucket of hot rolls with side of butter and Homemade Apple Butter….very good by the way!!! The apple butter that is!!!!

I loved my soup and waitress very attentive and kept me in tea refills. Not crazy about the salad…but it was exactly what I ordered Side Salad…with 1000 Island Dressing. Tony loved his steamed shrimp but the green beans and sweet potato fries were not so good!!!

I wouldn’t have to go back but Hey Good News, your experience might be better than mine!! Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.

I gave this restaurant 5 stars because of the ribeye steak and the chicken fried chicken. Whoever is the chef of those items is a master of their craft. The steak was medium rare and perfect. All of the sides, except for the mashed potatoes, were an afterthought, but I wasn’t complaining because the steak was delicious. Service was really good, although the interior needs refreshing, as it’s a bit outdated.

COME HERE!!! Hidden gem. We went here for Kelsey’s 29th Birthday (We didn’t tell them it was her Birthday). We were SO blown away at how good the food was. They made everything perfectly.

We are huge foodies and we love well seasoned food. Their food is well seasoned, everything seems to be made homemade. Country style cooking.

We had the best Gator bites EVER at this location. We tried Gator bites in Alabama at a very fancy restaurant (literally a restaurant built over top of a river). But their Gator was fishy and chewy (overcooked and bland). Now in comparison, this restaurant had very tender WELL SEASONED Gator bites. When our family comes to visit from Canada, we will be bringing them to this place 100%.

We tried their seafood lasagna, all of us said we never had anything like it. We were expecting it to be more white sauce, not a lot of lobster/shrimp/scallops. We didn’t have high expectations. Well they delivered one of the best pasta dishes we’ve EVER had. It was perfect. Like we wanted to beg them for the recipe, that’s how good it was. (This is a special dish they don’t always have, so if you want to try it! Head down asap).

We also had fried pickles and battered mushrooms. We also had Steak topped with blue cheese and it was amazing! Everything was amazing!

We asked for a side of cornbread, we specifically said “a piece of cornbread” but they brought out a big basket. They brought out apple butter for the cornbread and butter that looked like it was homemade. It was to dieeee for. They didn’t even charge us for it! We also asked for extra blue cheese, they brought us extra and also didn’t charge us for it. They’re very generous with their portions and with their food. We really appreciated it.

The environment was positive, even other customers there at the time were super friendly. Over all great vibe for sitting and dining in. (Of course every time you go there will be different people, but when we went it was perfect).

Very disappointed. They didn’t have 3 of the items we tried to order (it was early on a Friday evening).
There was a hair in the alligator bites, AND the baked potato. The main food was decent.
The bill was just over 60 dollars, and I tried to pay with a 100 dollar bill, and was asked if I had anything smaller. How hard is it to come up with 38 dollars to make change?

My husband and I are out of towners, decided to try this place on the way through. The best burgers (Mason Dixon, and Sweet A) we ever had, the staff was super friendly, Tina W was our service and she was great. I honestly think I might drive 8 hours just to come back here.

First time we stayed at the Best Western and just getting back from the Roman Baths,we decided to try this restaurant. Within the parking lot..steps away. Turned out to be a great choice…my stomach under the weather so our server suggested a grilled chicken breast with rice..and I ordered applesauce. My partner ordered the twin crabcakes on rice…. handmade with no filler…no seasonings..just right. Second time here..ordered Maple Bacon Chicken smothered with maple syrup and pieces of bacon over rice…..very good. I ordered Smothered Chicken..cheddar cheese topping had hardened by the time it arrived at our table…not a good choice.Their cornbread is the best I have ever eaten….
Where the locals eat.

This place is ridiculously good. This was our 2nd time here, and I had been looking forward to it for almost 6 months. We were in town for the apple butter festival, and honestly this restaurant was the highlight of the entire trip.

Service was awesome. The girl we had was attentive and polite, even with some difficult members in our party. The place was packed, but we never felt like we had been forgotten or rushed. This has been the case both times we had the privilege of visiting this restaurant.

We started out with fried pickles- absolutely to die for. The rolls, cornbread and apple butter that they bring out are just amazing. The mason dixon burger was absolutely phenomenal. The loaded chicken with cheese and bacon was better than any I had ever had before. The French fries were absolutely insane- so freaking good.

My girlfriend also had 2 frozen daiquiris. Even though the place was slammed and they’re a pain to make, the owner happily made us 2 of those drinks and they came out amazing. With appetizers, food for 4 people, and alcoholic beverages/sodas, the entire tab came out to a ridiculously cheap 80$. If we had gotten a comparable meal at our other favorite restaurant (Outback Steakhouse), it would have been easily double the amount of money. The portions are massive- I couldn’t even fit the hamburger I got in my mouth. I am extremely impressed with this restaurant, and it is easily one of my top 5 favorites of all time. Keep it up guys, y’all are awesome.
