Hey there. And thanks for stopping by. We’re Mount Airy’s local microbrewery and restaurant located within the Old Belk’s building and Prather Block in historic downtown Mount Airy. We were founded by a troll after the bridge he called home was demolished. But as he quickly pointed out — when life tears down your bridge, you start a brewery. What emerged has become a special place in the hearts of Elkin, and now Mount Airy residents who love our pizza, wings, hearth fired pizza and pub fare. I took my Mom here last week in the afternoon for dinner. It was right before the dinner crowd arrived. I loved the whole vibe and theme inside the restaurant. They kept alot of the original characteristics of the old building but gave it new life. They were playing trivia that night. It appeared to be a big draw for the crowd that night. Especially to watch the competition. The staff was on point. The food was excellent. We will definitely come back.

Eat here! Amazing pizza! Great staff! Easy parking, roomy interior, and they seemed to pop up out of nowhere, for a traveler! I got the Bianco pizza which was extra great, because it had almonds on top. New to me& absolutely fantastic!! Thx for feeding me!!! Great desserts, full bar, nice digs!

Ate at Angry Troll Thursday night (Trivia Night). We went for the pizza and ended up choosing cheeseburgers. (I got chips; my husband had fries.). Great food and great service. I was hesitant to go on Trivia night because I thought it would be loud. We don’t drink but enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the food!!

My family and I ate at the Mt. Airy location. My in-laws were in for a visit so we drove down from Virginia to see the town. The Angry Troll was suggested to us from an employee of a different business and was highly recommended. Our waitress was an amazing young lady named Bella. She knew the menu back and forth, she gave us her favorites from every section of the menu and made the changes we needed for my MIL without any problem. She even set additional toppings to the side for my MIL just to ensure her food was enjoyable. She was such a great waitress and she has an amazing personality. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I really hope that her management sees this review and lets her know what a wonderful server she is and what a wonderful employee she is. The food was amazing and the restaurant was very clean, great atmosphere, music was perfect level. We will definitely be back. If you’re in the area go by and grab something, you won’t regret it.

Ate here for first time. Mattie was our waitress. She was awesome! She looked into the gluten free pizza crust and made recommendations of gluten free items on the menu. She checked on us often. The food was great! Definitely eating there again!

Favorite restaurant in Mount Airy! I have become a regular at this location with my bowling team. BBQ nachos are the go to! 99% of the time Alexis has been the server and she’s always energetic and not afraid to let her personality shine. That’s an extremely important part of a restaurant experience in my opinion!

Our waitress Alexis was great! Our food was good and we got what we ordered. She checked on us every little bit and made sure we had what we needed! She was very friendly and she didn’t let our drinks run out. Will definitely be eating here again!

I cannot say enough good things about the food! The drinks were great, but I have not had anything food wise that was bad. The unique pizzas and sandwiches were absolutely worth it (you won’t regret the godfather of cheeseburger pizza) the wings were also nice and fat and saucy. The only thing that I wish was better was the seats themselves. There is patio, low and high top seating. Great also to grab food to go. Will take a picture next time, I was too busy eating the last couple of times

My wife and I went there for the first time. So I post this, knowing that they are newly opened. We waited one hour and twenty-five minutes for our food to come to us.The beer batter fries that we ordered as an appetizer came out with our entrees, cold and soft.My wife ordered the Greek salad It did not have any black olives or banana peppers on it. She ordered it to have chicken. The chicken came out coated in hot sauce. I ordered the Godfather, my chicken breast. On that $14. sandwich was so dry. I could barely take a bite without drinking half of my beer. The mozzarella cheese sticks that were on the sandwich. As you can see, in the picture where I’ve taken a bite, we’re cold and completely solid in the middle. They were not melty at all.. The bacon had obviously been cooked the day before or that morning and placed into a cooler without being dried off of grease properly because it had white congealed grease on the 2 bacon strips.. My wife and I love the Elkin destination and hope that somebody holds the mount airy destination up to the same standards, but it will be a while before we come back. It was very disappointing

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with my husband and niece. We were sat at a table near the bar. The food and atmosphere were great. Our waitress, who was also the bar tender, was good, but not very attentive. She was fairly busy at the bar which I think kept her from checking in on us as much. We ordered an appetizer about 10 minutes before our food and it all came out at the same time.
