The Food:
Appetizer: We started with the Fondue—a rare find that was absolutely delicious.
Salad: You have to try the house salad; the combo of ingredients and the house-made dressing is spot on.
Entrees: I had one of the best steaks ever—great flavor and cooked to perfection—alongside delicious mashed potatoes. We also tried the asparagus with hollandaise and the pan-fried chicken with bacon jam; both were excellent.
Dessert: We finished with the Lava Cake and strawberry ice cream—a perfect combination.
Ambiance & Tips:
The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. While some items rotate, the menu always offers a great variety. Michigantown is lucky to have such a fantastic establishment! Highly recommended.
Tip: The lighting is a bit dim and romantic, so if you use reading glasses, be sure to bring them for the menu!
The meat its self had no flavor, and the batter they used had way to many herbals in it. There was about 10 steak fries that came with it. One of our tenderlions had cheese on it with the cheese paper still attached. The kitchen did come out and laughed then apologized for the issue. She offered us dessert, but we was afraid there would be something left on that. They did comp our appetizer. We had the pretzel bites with the weirdest cheese. It was gritty and had some kind of relish on top of it.
The menu strikes that perfect balance: extensive enough that everyone can find something they love, yet thoughtfully curated so that every dish is executed to perfection. The specials menu is brilliantly designed, pairing incredible entrées with perfectly matched alcoholic beverages for a truly elevated dining experience. The bartenders are masters of their craft, creating imaginative, beautifully balanced cocktails that are as memorable as the meal itself. Even the details shine—the roses on each table are real, sourced from the nursery across the street, adding such a charming and personal touch.
And the food? Outstanding. The asparagus was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, vibrant, and flavorful. The prime rib was nothing short of spectacular, so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Every bite felt indulgent and expertly prepared.
But what truly made the evening unforgettable was Alma.
Alma isn’t just a server—she’s the gold standard of hospitality. Warm, genuine, and effortlessly friendly, she made us feel less like customers and more like cherished friends. Her attentiveness was flawless, her timing impeccable, and her knowledge of the menu impressive. Professionally, she embodies everything a restaurant could ever hope for in waitstaff. Personally, she has that rare gift of making conversation feel natural and meaningful, like catching up with a dear friend or beloved neighbor.
We will happily make the 55-minute drive again and again—especially if Alma is there to welcome us. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you’re looking for exceptional food, creative drinks, and truly world-class service, this is it.
Great Food, the prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were enough for two people, I thought. The service was great, we had a great waitress: Jaden. Atmosphere was nice, the place was clean and smellee good. Food was really hot (not spicewise) and tasted fresh. It was a 20-30 minute drive for us, and very much worth it. Pictures include: mexican street corn dip, pulled pork with / without the pretzel bun, cole slaw, fries, and we shared bread pudding.
