Tara was an excellent waitress! The fish and chips were excellent! There was a light breading on the fish and it was excellent. Also, the clam chowder soup was very good. The cornbread was a little dry than I would like it to be. The boilers were good and had good flavor. I would recommend the shrimp or scallops. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back.

We love Angry Crab happy hours. We came here for the first time a couple weeks ago and we had a great experience. The manager was super nice and the service was great. We tried their fish tacos, breaded wings and fried calamari. This is the only location with fried cheesecake and other fried dessert goodies. We tried the fried cheesecake and it was really good. Extremely kid friendly and our kids loved the food too. We will definitely be back.

Been to this place many times before. Calamari came out burnt. Sent calamari back for a new order. I ordered 2lbs of “Head off” shrimp. Shrimp was under cooked. Wife had snow crab legs and shrimp. Her shrimp was also under cooked. Crab legs were fine. They were out of the “head on” shrimp which I perfer. Not a big deal. My pervious times here have been telly good. I was disappointed in the under cooked shrimp.

This was the third time I’ve eaten at Angry Crab and it has gotten better each time. I visit Surprise 3-4 times a year and always try to make it to Angry Crab for the delicious crab and shrimp. Abby has been our server all three times and as fantastic as the food is, she’s just as great. I’ll be coming back every time I visit and the nice manager even came to the table and asked us how we were doing. Please keep up the great tasting food and service, I look forward to the next visit….

I recently visited Angry Crab Shack and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Our server was very rude and dismissive. I understand it may have been a little busy, but when I asked for a bib and gloves, instead of bringing them to me, she gave some to the table next to us while making direct eye contact with me — and never came back with any for our table. It felt intentional and unprofessional.
When the food arrived, the King Crab was extremely underwhelming. For $85 just for the crab alone, I expected quality portions. Instead, I received very small, broken pieces from what looked like just a couple of legs. It honestly felt like scraps. I was offered additional crab on the house, but when it came out, those pieces were just as small. At that point, I couldn’t justify paying close to $100 for such poor portions.
The only reason this review isn’t one star is because the managers handled the situation respectfully, and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself was nice. Unfortunately, the service and food quality did not meet expectations for the price.

The cod was battered and deep-fried. It was light and airy with just the right crunch and not fishy tasting. It was very good. We had a choice of Cajun fries or plain fries. We chose plain. The coleslaw was okay. I didn’t like the tartar sauce, it had mustard in it. It tasted like mustard potato salad. It was an extremely casual environment. For me, I wouldn’t have my anniversary dinner there.
It is a good restaurant for what it is. The servers were all very friendly. Didn’t have to wait very long for the check. That don’t charge for soda water!

The food a service were both excellent! The mild heat level is exactly the right amount of kick for those who don’t like things too spicy, but you do lose a bit of the flavor by reducing the heat.

Come hungry, leave fat & happy!! We had a delightfully, delicious dinner and desserts!! Our server, Rainie was particularly wonderful! The kitchen staff are definite pros at what they do, the “Shack” was clean and moving through it’s evening easily.
It was a delightful adventure of tasty items, every single thing we ordered was perfect from it’s representation on the menu to the table.

Arrived at 11:14am the second couple sitting down since open at 11am. First time at Angry Crab figured we love seafood and heard so much about it. Waitress was very kind. We ordered shrimp and grits which was pretty bland, the seafood sampler they were out of clam strips so we got calamari, shrimp and hush puppies. Then also ordered Gator Nuggets that came with Cajun seasoned fries and coleslaw. All the fried food came out dark. Oil hasn’t been changed in like 2 days and food was chewy, very gummy and dry. The Margarita was left over house from the night before. You could taste that it was sitting there. When asked by the waitress we explained everything and said we’ll pay for everything but we won’t be back. She apologized and sent the manager over. We showed her the color of the food, broke a gator nugget open for her to see how dry it was. She didn’t even argue the fact of the oil, all she could say is that she hopes not (oil being old). We explained that it’s not in their hospitality it’s the kitchen being allowed to serve this. The restaurant is in a senior area and maybe they’ve been getting away with it because their clientele isn’t so familiar. But you can see in the pics for a just opened for the day place the color of the food is terrible. Taste wasn’t good. They did comp $22 of the $55 bill. We explained they didn’t have to buy appreciated it. Don’t like sending food back. No trust in that. Needless to say got home 15 minutes later and all the food came up. Never again.
