I love this place! Everything that I have had from there has been delicious, the service is excellent. The duck is the best that I’ve ever had, and so are there egg rolls. I had prime rib on Mother’s Day, the flavor popped! I would highly recommend this place too anyone that is near Port of the Islands Resort. I’m lucky enough to be staying there so I can eat in the restaurant every single night.

Super friendly staff and owner, and amazing food. The chef was trying a new vegetarian menu item, a cauliflower steak with chimichurri sauce, which was exceptional, as were our appetizers and other entrees. Very generous portions. And make sure to check out all the cute fish.

Just finished a fabulous meal here. Jason, our server/bartender did a great job looking after us.
Prime rib / Korean skewers were delicious and the key lime pie/brownie afterwards were also great.
Unfortunately they are closed tomorrow otherwise we would have returned!

Have lived in the Port of the Islands community for 15 years and finally decided to try the Angler’s Cove Restaurant which is located inside of the Port of the Islands Hotel. It was all very good, the pizza was delicious, the wings were prepared well (though the wing sauce known as “hot” could be a bit hotter, the burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare and he blackened grouper was fresh and tasted great. All in all, was very surprised at how good it all was and will be ordering again. If they offered delivery (even if it was a $5 charge for 0.5 miles) to the POI community, it would get 6 stars! Maybe one day. But yes, as you see they do do take-out which isn’t clear on their website if they do or do not.

The new breakfast option is a very welcome change. The first meal of the day is so necessary and the French toast platter with a scrambled egg is my very favorite. I love coming here as often as possible.

While on-site at the resort, dropped in for some dinner at the adjoining restaurant. Our server, Julie, was extremely helpful walking us thru all the entrees. Top Sirloin was delicious (and at 16oz was way more than I could eat in one meal). Later in the evening, stopped in at the bar, where we were treated to an evening of music with Hank and Bonnie (as well as a special guest in a Reagan-Bush ’84 hat). The music was a real treat and. As for drinks, our bartender Valerie took excellent care of us for the evening with libations and recommendations. I am hoping we can make a return visit here very soon.

I would suggest dining at a gas station before this place.
And that’s being nice.
The server bartenders were not on.
14 people total at max, were dining in this establishment and it was slow moving.
For a dive bar style place we spent nearly two hours in here… waiting.
Our food was sub par
Bloody Mary tastes like it was made with V8 which is so incorrect.
Never got the appetizer before the meal and it came out undercooked. A wad of cheese and breading.
They remade, then the cheese curds were so over cooked, they were inedible.
The ranch was water, they did not have any regular fries, just sweet potato fries. Those were so undercooked they were mush, oh onion rings, but those were also very undercooked. They were white. The smash burgers weren’t smashed.
Over all just a disappointing experience.

But to end on a positive note, the chicken tenders were not bad. So said my child.

I have enjoyed many meals here over the past few years while staying at Port of the Islands. This time was disappointing. I ordered a fish and chips basket. The fish came with some spicy sauce, not tartar sauce, which did not compliment the fish at all. When I asked about dessert, the server told me she would go and check to see what was available. She told me the only thing available that she would recommend was carrot cake. I said I would take it, as well as a cup of coffee. She basically told me that if I wanted a good cup of coffee I should go home. I had neither dessert nor coffee.
This is not a criticism of the server. I felt she was being honest with me. It’s a sad state of affairs when a restaurant is unable to offer a decent dessert and cup of coffee.
As an aside, the server shared that she is only able to communicate with the kitchen staff by using an English to Spanish translation app on her phone.
