In the Mood to Review Some Food
I love the subs. They’re absolutely delicious when the facility first opened up at the airport. I was excited food was always fresh staff was upbeat. Now takes 20 minutes for one sub when there’s hardly anybody waiting have to explain three or four different times how we want our food service needs to be better. Maybe enforce a dress code where people pull their pants up and wear hair nuts as evidence by the hairs in our sub totally disgusting!!!! SEE PICS

I dont know what these ppl are talking about in the reviews but this was one of my fav subs ever. Some background, my family owned a sandwich shop with subs and gyros for 25 years. The chicken salad sandwich with pepperoni was AMAZING. The Peruvian vinegarette on the other sub we got was AMAZING. We were flying from Jax to Vegas. Not only were each lg sub under $10, but tasted great. Could’ve used more meat but like I said, the subs were like $8. The employees were cool. They were rude, but they weren’t all happy either but I dont go places for smiles and thank yous, I go for the food. And when your traveling, especially in an airport, nobody wants to buy a cold sandwich for $15 out of an open air cooler. Like I said I dont get all the hate. Ive been thinking about their sandwiches for months.

I’ve been going to angies at the beach since a child. Best subs in Jacksonville hands down. The customer service and the employees are great from the original location. This airport location has the worst customer service and staff. The staff doesn’t even seem like they want to be here. There just rude. I asked for a side of some Peruvian sauce with my sub and the younger employee said. We don’t have anything to put it in. I told him that’s why everyone comes here. He just ignored me. Later he did bring out bottles for the tables. Great food I just wish they had the same vine as the beach.

I was happily surprised to see Angie’s Subs in JAX airport and I was excited to try the BEC on a bagel. Unfortunately the egg was premade and the bagel was not good. I suggest changing out the bagel with a roll and make fresh eggs which will for sure make a better tasting sandwich. At $5.99 the breakfast sandwich was definitely reasonably priced for being in the airport. I really wish this Angie’s location the best of luck.

Avoid this place at all costs. 25 minutes for a sub. Order came out wrong, when questioned, the Cashier came over and dug through the sandwich with his bare hands trying to prove himself right. He in fact was not right and proceeded to completely soak the entire sandwich with the sauce that was not previously on it. 7 minutes that the sub was wrapped up and given to me which went directly into the trash. I’m from the beach and have been going to Angie’s since I was a kid. Never again will I support this or any establishment connected to Angie’s. Was able to get video of the entire interaction, can’t wait to send it to News4Jax. This business is an absolute disgrace to Jacksonville.

Excellent subs here!!! Dr. Bangs Scrippy made by someone special. Located at A3
Then I ordered a side chicken salad and they rang me up wrong!! Supposed to be $3.99 and was charged 4.69 plus tax $5.04
Not good!! The chicken salad was way too onion strong tasting. Didn’t like it at all and threw it out. They were already closed at that point.

Had the Peruvian bagel and it was really good. Definitely the best breakfast I have ever eaten at Jax airport and also the price was very reasonable. Service was quick and great. I used to eat breakfast at one of the sit down restaurants but this was far better and cheaper!

I write this to you, my dear reader, from the counter at the Angie’s Subs in the Jacksonville Airport after smacking my 2nd Peruvian sub of the day.

I had one from their Jax Beach location for lunch, and after a 3 hour delay on my flight, the good lord forced my hand on my 2nd one of the day at their airport location… but actually it was almost as if something pushed me to eat another Peruvian sandwich… not a lot of good options in this airport… really makes you wonder……. y’all ever seen the Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt?

I was initially hyper skeptical, as an iconic local spot that opens up another location is typically the first step in sacrificing the quality of a product in order to maximize profits. Just look at Erewhon, a sad case over there. It’s one major downside of capitalism.

However, that 2nd Peruvian sub was arguably better than the first. I was ready to write a sad, yet understanding 4 star review, but it shut me up really quick.

Damn I’m BIG full now, but I already hit my 10k steps for the day so I deserved it. IMMA BEAST!

Normally I’d do a full deep dive on how the combination of Ham, Genoa, Salami, Bacon, Italian Sausage, Peruvian Sauce, and the fixings on white bread blew my mind and left me with a huge smile on my face. I’d go on to highlight how I think it is Angies’ proprietary Peruvian sauce that really makes the difference, but my flight is about to board so I gotta blow this popsicle stand. LOVE Y’ALL!

No issues with service or speed of delivery. The sandwich was some of the worst I’ve had. I expected a nice fresh turkey and cheese sub. Got a sub that tasted like burnt bacon grease. All of it. The bread the lettuce the turkey. They must heat up everything on same grill. If I ever try again I’ll state do not warm it up. To avoid the grease.
