If a restaurant could define an area, it’s Angie’s Subs. Quality food and service but with the Jacksonville flair and “hometown feel” that is hard to explain. Luckily, the Atlantic Beach location hits just like the original, and the beers are super cheap. Usually $3 for draft Busch and $5 Miller Lite cans. My go-to sub is the Wife Kicked Me Out.

Angie’s Sub Shop was recommended to me by a friend and it did NOT disappoint. The sub was fantastic. I had to ask someone who worked there which one to get because the menu was stacked with great options. It was refreshing to see unique but delicious sounding sandwiches on the menu, not just your standard options. I was told The Shane is the staff favorite and that’s what I went with. I was steered right as it was perfect. Thank you to whoever helped me decide, I hope your dinner was as good as mine

I might be the biggest Angie’s fan on the planet of people who are not from Jacksonville. Every time I’m in Jax to visit my gfs family, Angie’s is a MUST. See my review on the other location to really see me spill my soul out.
We went this trip and had another spiritual experience at the OG location, and they had these new shirts that are HARD. I needed one more than I needed oxygen.
Much to my chagrin, they didn’t have my gfs or my size as they are damn near cleaned out. I can’t even be mad though, whoever designed those shirts went CRAZY.
We came to this new Atlantic Beach location to see if they had our shirt sizes, and they had one for my gf but not mine. 1/2, we will take it. I’ve always enjoyed getting a clean assist more than getting a bucket.
I will sit here, patiently waiting for a restock on these shirts while I sit and dream of my next Peruvian Sub.

Same great quality as the OG spot on Beach Blvd! I had the chance to check out Angie’s brand-new Atlantic Beach location this past weekend, and it did not disappoint.
Quick heads up: this is Atlantic Beach, so parking can be a tad bit of a scavenger hunt. You might have to circle the block or opt for a paid spot—but on a laid-back Saturday afternoon, it didn’t bother me one bit.
Walking in, we were greeted with a warm smile and the cozy vibe Angie’s is known for. My friend and I split a sandwich and corn nuggets since this was technically our second lunch of the day (no regrets).
We grabbed seats in the back near the speakeasy area—bar seats were full, but the back room was perfect. Quiet, quirky, and decked out with vinyl records and charming decor. Such a cool little nook to relax in.
Our order never got called out to the back room, so I popped up to the front to check. They had it ready to go, still warm and fresh, and the manager went above and beyond stating she would comp the meal due to the wait—completely unexpected, but super appreciated.
That’s the kind of customer service that keeps people coming back. Angie’s Subs continues to deliver on both quality and hospitality. 100% will be back!
Please support Ed and his amazing staff by popping in the new location. He does so much for our community by giving back – Thank you Ed & Angie’s subs staff for giving back to the people who need/deserve it the most.

Always good service and nice people, but the food was terrible today. Ordered the my wife with no lettuce, it came with more lettuce than chicken. Both subs were ice cold by the time we got home and we live 3-4 minutes away and Bread was honestly pretty stale. We ordered food around 6:30 so hours before they close, so cold/incorrect food doesn’t make sense. Been to the beach BLVD location a lot, and it seems to be a lot better.

We already loved our Jax Beach Angies and finally made it out to their new location in AB, and what a great experience! They got my order mixed up with our friend who was behind us in line (and ordered separately). I was outside on a phone call when our friend’s sandwich came out first. He polished it off not realizing it was not what he ordered , it was what i ordered! They immediately apologized, re-made my all time fave sammy, Dr. Bangs Scrippy, and gave us gift cards for the mistake. I was not angry or annoyed, accidents happen and they went above and beyond to correct the situation, which is unheard of these days unless you raise hell, and even then the mistake is not always rectified. Thanks Angies, we will always come back, you guys are awesome!

Truly an amazing experience. Randi is second to none. A “Rockstar”. Her energy, customer service, and overall attitude makes every visit to Angie’s Subs Atlantic Beach awesome. Highly recommend to everyone to visit.

The food was good and the service was satisfactory. It does concern me, that on carry out, the counter attendee does ask for a tip verbally then ask the question a second time on the credit card terminal and then put the cash jar front and center. I am apprehensive about ordering food at restaurants that push tips. I would prefer they pay their staff a fair hourly tip. It always makes me wonder, and that causes me to reduce or eliminate visits.

I’ve been talking about their sandwich for two weeks and have even contemplated driving three hours just to have the sandwich again. I would’ve ate it twice if they were open on Sunday, but they’re closed. Hands down, THE BEST sandwich I’ve ever had. I got the number one best seller I forget what it’s called, but it was delicious. I can’t remember its name, but I distinctly remember the taste and it hit on all levels. Chefs kiss.
