This is definitely the spot for delicious home cooked soul food. (See menu) This is the second time we have eaten here and we have never been disappointed. I had the Meatloaf dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes and a delicious corn muffin. Carly had the smothered pork chops with gravy and onions, greens and pinto beans and of course a corn muffin. Pork chops were extremely tender and could be cut with a fork.
This place is always a home run for home cooking. Only complaint is its carry out only!

I got a catfish dinner with dressing/gravy and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was fantastic to me. Made just like I like it but the dressing was a little too sweet for my taste. Good flavor but sweet. Fish was great. I did get some strawberry lemonade kool-aid. It was good and sweet. I would definitely go back.

First I wasn’t expecting the level of customer service I received. When I say it was amazing? I could not make up my mind on what to get and the young lady at the counter was everything. I told her I was nervous about the catfish because I prefer mine cooked hard but not burnt. I don’t know what she told the guys in the back but when I say my catfish was cooked perfect? What made it even better is it didn’t have the fishy taste like other soul food restaurants. I’m not a fan of cornbread but because the food was so on point I went ahead and tried it. I’m 1000% sure somebody’s Big Mama with the big jiggly arms is in the back. I’m definitely going to come out my way to get more.

Place was neat and clean. I did have to wait about 5 min before someone realized I was standing at the counter. I ordered smothered pork chops, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes and green beans. The Mac and cheese was very watery and burnt. The corn muffin that came with the meal had a very strange taste. I will try this restaurant again, but I’m not too crazy about it at the moment .

University Heights Angie’s is the place to go. Everything was awesome. I had fried catfish, mac and cheese, and the corn bread tasted like cake. Don’t forget the Peach Cobbler. Will definitely go back.

When I want delicious soul food, I drive 2 hours to Angie’s. Amazing food and customer service, you can’t ask for anything more. My favorite is the meatloaf with greens and Mac n cheese. The portions are also very generous. Thank you Angies staff for providing incredible food and service.

First time trying this location and I must say it is thee best!! The food was hot and fresh! The customer service was amazing also. I highly recommend stopping here for that soup food appetite that you are craving. Oh and the sunrise strawberry lemonade I will be going back for every other day at least!

The lady at the register was nice and patient with me 1st time eating there. Wasn’t sure what to order. Wanted baked chicken and stuffing. They had no baked chicken and no stuffing. Ended up getting fried chicken with gravy yams and greens it was OK just not what I really wanted. Also got a fried catfish dinner with greens and Mac and cheese which the catfish was awesome season very well. The greens have too many stems more stems than the leafy greens. Mac n cheese was dry. I would probably go there again for my baked chicken and stuffing. Hopefully they have it next time.

I order dinner for an elderly family member about once a week from here. He always loves the food, especially the chocolate cake. Most recently, he had beef tips and gravy over rice and loves the flavor and tenderness of the beef tips. The staff is always extremely pleasant and my order is ready within time estimates given. I appreciate knowing I can count on Angie’s for a good hot soul food dinner for my family.
