I moved to this area recently and wish I had taken the time to come here sooner. I knew there was a reason I regularly saw it was packed here with customers but was always on the way to work and never stopped by.
One cold winter morning at 5AM I woke up early with the intention of going. Walked inside around 5:45 and there were already 7 or 8 people sitting and eating. I was greeted as a regular and told to pick my own spot. Southern charm was poured on as welcoming as the warmed syrup they brought for my pancakes with “honey” this or “sweetie” that or “darling”. Welcoming compassionate adjectives used in their interactions with folks to make the customers feel like family. You aren’t gonna find that at McDonalds, Biscuitville, Eggs Up Grill.
Lord knows, when I asked for link sausage and they brought out some authentic link sausage and not that Jimmy Dean processed stuff I knew I’d found a breakfast Heaven. (Note: In the picture included, you’ll see Smoked Sausage from a 2nd visit I’d made here. Which was also really good). All the waitresses were topping off the coffee without question of “Whose table is this?” They just did their job for the satisfaction of the customer.
You want good ol’ fashioned southern charm, authentic southern breakfast and great customer service after seeing the way they treat you at IHOP, I suggest you make Angie’s your new breakfast place. I will definitely be back!

Great pancake – great flavor maple syrup and real butter. My breakfast- two eggs over medium-perfectly cooked, link sausage, grits, & coffee!! Great atmosphere, hearty laughter, everyone welcomed, wonderful staff, friendly & on top of service, checking my coffee and asking for additional needs, if you can’t find your favorite breakfast here, then it might not be available anywhere!!

Angie’s is an incredible place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch — really anything. The servers are unbelievably friendly, especially with kids, and the food is absolutely delicious. When you walk in, you immediately feel joy. This has become our favorite place, and I’m so grateful we found it.

My parents and I were looking for a mom & pop place to have breakfast and stumbled upon Angie’s. This place was hopping. We had a short wait and shortly seated. The service from start to finish was great! The food was definitely worth the wait. At first, I thought the prices were a little high but after receiving my food the portions were enough for 2 people. They also do have daily deals that include the coffee. So I would say definitely get what you pay for! Looking forward to bringing my husband here for breakfast.

First timer, but I’ll be back! They were very busy at 11:45 am on Monday but service was great. Everything was cooked perfectly and portions are generous. I like a place with molasses on the table! Daily specials (breakfast and lunch) Monday through Friday.

This place is popular and I see why. The breakfast hits all the right notes. Hashbrowns – crispy, country ham – juicy and tender, scrambled eggs – creamy. The gluten-free waffle was solid and the coffee was strong and hot. I will definitely be back.

An Experience Worth Driving Back For
From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, our very first visit to Angie’s Restaurant in Garner, NC was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most delightful host and thoughtfully seated in an area that felt comfortable and uncrowded. Within moments, we were warmly welcomed by our server, Kayla Prince, and that’s when the experience truly elevated.
Kayla’s attentiveness, confidence, and genuine warmth were immediately apparent. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering thoughtful recommendations and answering questions with ease. What stood out most was not just how well she served our table, but how effortlessly she managed the entire section. Watching her interact with other guests, it was clear she has a rare gift , she made every table feel like they were the only ones in the restaurant.
Her responsiveness, clear communication, and attention to detail were stellar. Every need was anticipated, every check-in perfectly timed, and her warm smile made the experience feel personal and welcoming. This is hospitality at its finest.
Now, the food -As someone who cooks and as the wife of a chef, we do not take seasoning or execution lightly. The food at Angie’s was seasoned to perfection, incredibly flavorful, and satisfying with every single bite. Each dish was balanced, bold, and thoughtfully prepared. Nothing was rushed, nothing was lacking. It was simply excellent.
And the coffee? Surprisingly outstanding. Easily better than what you find at most coffee shops — rich, smooth, and clearly cared for, which says a lot about a restaurant’s standards.
The entire experience was so exceptional that I felt compelled to speak directly with the manager just to express how pleased and impressed we were — not only with the food, but with the level of service we received from Kayla and the team.
As we begin our 2.5-hour drive back home to Mooresville, NC, one thing is certain, we I’ll be returning- hungry for more. Angie’s Restaurant is not just worth the visit, it’s worth the return.
Highly recommended. No stone left unturned.

Update: Breakfast. Place very busy but was able to get seated quickly. For breakfast we got the country Benedict with perfect eggs and hashbrowns. The other was two well scrambled eggs with smoked sausage, home fries and buttered, grilled biscuits. Service was fantastic as usual. Newer update: Right at shift change. Very busy but a short wait for a table. I got the lunch combo. The wedge salad was a nice portion and dressed well with tomato, red onion, bacon crumbles and blue cheese. I up graded to a whole classic club to save some for later. It was a classic sandwich. The other dish was a breakfast with two well scrambled eggs with home fries, link sausage and biscuits. Update: Quality and service continues to be excellent. This particular morning we got scrambled eggs with country link sausage and home fries. Grilled biscuits rounded out the plate. Eggs cook perfectly as well as the sausage and potatoes. Nothing like a grilled biscuit. The other meal was over light eggs (perfect runny yolks) with hashbrowns-crispy outside and tender inside. Toast for dipping in the yolk and slice of country ham. Previous: Excellent southern hospitality and food. Well worth any wait. It’s been awhile but nothing has changed. We had to wait to he seated, but it was definitely worth it. Today was seafood day, but I got the hamburger steak with collards and pintos. Everything was seasoned well with am excellent cook on the steak. My friend got the soup and sandwich combo-1/2 club and loaded baked potato soup. The soup was creamy and thick. Today’s dessert was chocolate cobbler. Update. Did not have to wait today. Big country omelet packed full of sausage, cheese, and veggies. Omelet fluffy and inside loaded. Hashbrowns crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Sausage gravy is great poured on top of omelet. It comes with choice of bread. I got a tall fluffy biscuit. I had to take that home. I’ll open it, butter it, and broil it. Then I’ll put molasses on it…..yum….yum…my friend got the regular breakfast. Eggs scrambled well-not hard, with bacon and home fries. He got 2 biscuits grilled and buttered on both sides. If you have never had it, I suggest you try it.

If you want a real southern breakfast, you are in the right place. Angie’s serves up great food, Carolina charm, and a little bit of sass. Prices are reasonable considering the abundant servings. The food is downright tasty, with offerings from chocolate chip pancakes to scrambled eggs to liver pudding. Really though, it is the ambiance that puts the place over the top. This is the country diner experience. You feel like you’re welcome, no matter who you are. So pull up a chair and try some cheesy grits or fried green tomatoes.
