Reviews
The one star for service is because there is none, only ordering kiosks and your name being called for window pick up. No table wipe down service. No wait staff.
The 2 stars for atmosphere: No clean tables. No floors swept. No windows cleaned.
Now, we like the backstory of this restaurant, and certainly like and appreciate the concept creators passing the savings on to us.
However, we watched as most customers did not help by sanitizing & wiping down the table after they ate their food.
The review is not a put down to the restaurant, but of a heads up on what to expect. We will be back because of the food. We may take advantage of the drive-through, though, but we will go back.
Self-service (no tip), No cash, Kiosk
Angie’s was started by the original founders of Salad & Go, and it shows- they’ve built a really smart, customer-first concept. Their goal is to offer “luxury” food at affordable prices, and they do that by cutting out the middleman and owning their supply chain, which helps keep costs low for customers.
The setup is simple: no servers, no tipping, no cash, and you clean up your own table. While it’s no-frills, all of that helps keep prices down, and it honestly feels like a fair trade for the quality of food you get. It’s a solid and thoughtful business model.
We ordered the $9.99 chilled lobster roll, the warm lobster roll, and the snow crab roll- every single one was delicious. The chilled lobster roll especially lives up to the hype and is an incredible value. Tbh, we were still a bit hungry afterward, so we ordered a $4.99 grilled chicken salad bowl to share, which was fresh and helped round out the meal.
They also offer a lot of antibiotic and hormone free meat options at prices that are hard to beat. There’s currently only one Angie’s location in the entire state of Texas.
This is both of our 1st times trying a lobster roll as that dish is usually a $25+ item at most places. We felt like the amount of meat was insane for the price and the rest of the menu items focused on that as well.
This is gourmet food at fast food prices!
We ate for $22
Unbelievable!
The Maine Lobster Rolls are scrumptious and authentic New England fare.
The fried cod sandwich was the best I’ve ever eaten.
And that’s high praise from this experienced palate.
The cod was huge and perfectly white.
Almost steak like thick.
The tartar sauce was perfect.
Other sauces are available
It’s a 4 concept restaurant with steak, lobster, chicken, and burgers on the menu.
There is so much choice that one is overwhelmed at first.
So , how do they provide such high quality food for such a meager price?
It’s a well designed restaurant that relies on you to order from a flat screen and pay.
The kitchen prepares the order and calls your name.
Served in paper plates and paper bag.
A cup is provided and a self serve station is centrally located.
There is dine in seating
There is a drive thru ordering lane
Online ordering is available
I cannot overemphasize how great the food and experience was
If you love Lobster rolls, make a mad dash here and your taste buds will thank you
I highly recommend this restaurant
Make you visit soon
See you there !
The salads are seriously the biggest bang for your buck. For around $5, you get a big portion that’s perfect for a quick lunch. I added shrimp and the shrimp were huge and surprisingly flavorful. Adding extra protein only costs a little more depending on what you choose, which makes it a great grab-and-go option.
My personal favorites:
The Cod Sandwich – I would honestly come back just for this. Crispy, tender, and so good. Tarter + Spicy Honey ——— HEAVEN!
The Fried Shrimp Roll – Crunchy, juicy, and super satisfying.
And the Spicy Honey sauce tastes like a spicy Polynesian from Chick-fil-A, such a banger.
I didn’t get to try the drive-thru, but it’s nice that it’s there for convenience. If this place was closer to me, I’d definitely be coming more often. Overall, great value and tasty food for the price.
Next I had the chilled lobster roll. Big claw pieces on top. Chilled has 3 ounces of lobster meat and warm starts with 3.5 ounces, 16% more, hence the 20%, $2, higher price, and after warmed on a grill is about the same 3 ounces.
On the first day I met the owner, Angie’s son, over from Phoenix on just this first day, and wow, he is really dialed-in, and has a real passion for this. He said they flash-freeze the fresh lobster meat in Maine at -200° F such that when served it tastes identical to freshly cooked lobster.
Seeing there was no tip screen was a joy. The owner said he pays employees the highest rate in the business, more than $17.50/hr. I thanked him on behalf of all of us for giving us this great treat. Go soon. You’ll love it.
The salads are only $4.99, which is an amazing price for the quality and portion you get. Such a great value!
I also highly recommend trying Angie’s Energy Drink, sooo good
Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
