Lovely crew working tonight and they welcomed us in. Wait staff was friendly and attentive, kitchen team was friendly was people walk by. Pizza was solid, traditional with crispy thin crust. The cab paired nicely with it.

Seriously the best thin crust pizza I’ve had in ages. Nice crispy, crackery crust- flavorful sauce; highly recommend. Clean, cozy environment and great service. Would love to see more people there during lunch to keep this place around. I’d say maybe the only thing that could improve the environment is a little music- maybe they usually have it and we happened to catch them when it was off, but it’s obviously not a big deal. We will absolutely be back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Pizza, Nostalgic Perfection

From the moment you step through the door, the aroma is intoxicating – that perfect blend of fresh-baked dough, melting cheese, and roasted garlic hits you like a wave, making it impossible not to feel instantly ravenous.

This establishment has mastered the art of thin-crust pizza in a way that instantly transported me back to Marcello’s in the Four Seasons Mall that closed nearly 15 years ago. The same perfect crust, that distinctive blend of flavors – it’s remarkable how they’ve captured that same magic that made Marcello’s so special.

Their garlic bread is simply outstanding, and the service is consistently excellent – case in point: I ordered two pieces of cheesy garlic toast and they generously included three. It’s these small touches that set them apart. The pizza arrives at your table steaming hot, and while wisdom suggests waiting a minute, self-control inevitably fails – it’s simply too tempting not to dive right in! Since moving away, I’ve made it a point to return whenever I’m in town. Each visit confirms what I already know – this place maintains an exceptional standard that never wavers.

For those who remember Marcello’s at the Four Seasons Mall, you’ll understand the high praise. For those who don’t, trust me – this is pizza perfection that’s increasingly rare to find. Absolutely worth going out of your way for.

An unequivocal five stars. Some restaurants are good; this one is memorable.

Well I pretty much loved everything about this place. The thin crust sausage and mushroom pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Great red sauce. The service was fantastic and friendly. The place has a strong family run vibe. The atmosphere was enhanced by the televisions showing the latest Jeopardy Masters episode. My server offered me an iced tea in a to-go cup. And on my way out the door, the guy who took my order asked, “So how did we do?” And you could tell by his tone and the sincere look on his face that he really cared about the answer. There may be fancier pizza places with more exotic toppings. But for a delicious old school pizza made with care and a sincere desire to please their customers, you won’t find a better place.

It’s worth a visit, not too expensive, and checks all the boxes on an Italian restaurant without making you feel like you don’t belong there. They could use some updating. To me, that means they’re not worried about keeping up appearances because they make up for it elsewhere.

UPDATE 09/23/2024
This is our new favorite pizza place. We’ve gone here several times and they haven’t disappointed us. We also ordered delivery a few times and the pizza was still great (we live fairly close). I wish they had a chicken bacon ranch pizza.

UPDATE: 03/30/2023
We stopped there again. We ordered the same crust and it was better for me this time. We also decided to try the teriyaki wings. They were cooked perfect and the sauce was good too. I’m not sure if the wings are tossed in the sauce though, seems like they just poured the sauce over the top..? but there was plenty of sauce on the bottom for dipping. We will order the wings again.

02/05/2023: The inside reminds me of a mom-and-pop type, hometown family restaurant. The service was great. The price is competitive. The ingredients have flavor and they put plenty of toppings on the pizzas, especially cheese. I wish I would’ve thought to get a picture of me taking a slice from the pizza because it is that warm, gooey, stringy cheese that’s perfect. I was too excited about diving in that I forgot about a photo. The thin crust was good but it was a little soggy and chewy for my preference. I like some crunch and chewy for my crusts. The table was split 50/50 on the crust. Some thought it was perfect, others thought a little too wet. It was still good though. I also prefer my onions diced not in long shreds. I think the cook was perfect. We will definitely return again to try more! This will be our new pizza place.

I was disappointed with my local pizza joint I frequent at least a couple times a month. I understood the 40 minutes last night to pick up a pizza as it was NY day. The issue was you could tell the pizza sat for a while. I ordered a large thin Sausage 1/2 green olive and 1/2 onion. I got home and it ease the size of a medium and look had little cheese and could tell not much care was provided in making it. A true disappointment for a place my family gets pizza from frequently.

I’ve been coming to Angenos since it was in Zachary Square, I ordered my go to weekly pizza, Heard Jeff sold the company and now the pizza is overly greasy and tastes horrible! It doesn’t taste the same at all, YOU CAN DEFINITELY TELL ITS NOT THE SAME PIZZA!!! New owner is probably cutting costs and using cheap sausage and cheap cheese! Such a disappointment! This is really sad, Been going there for so long and now this brand is destroyed! HAD TO OVER PARM IT JUST TO SOAK UP THE GREASE!!!! Straight trash!

This place takes me back to being a kid. The thin crust sausage pizza is cracker thin and delicious. It took a really long time for the pizza but we liked it when finally came out.

We are here as a family after a hockey tournament. Very friendly staff and our order was served quickly. Pizza here is fantastic…highly recommend the thin crust special. Some of our group ordered lasagna and fettuccine alfredo, which was equally fantastic. Pastas were served with salad and garlic bread…say yes to the cheese on the garlic bread. We will certainly be back here again!
