Lovely little spot right off the road. Atmosphere was lovely and staff very friendly. Took a while for food to come out but overheard they were working eith only 1 cook. Got myself the large eggs Benedict with “home fries”. Sadly the hollandaise was scrambled but I was still tasty and means the cook made it rather than got it from a pre-made. Personally think it’s a touch overpriced with 17 for my meal and 4$ for black coffee.

Today was my first time visiting Angels Bistro. I came in with a party of 15. I want to express that my review is NOT based off of the waitress’ service! She did what she could to her abilities and although there were a lot of us, she remained calm and professional. Hence, the only reason I gave 3 stars for service.

Now, on with the issues. I could automatically tell by the atmosphere they were not used to having that many people to service at one time. The food didn’t have an ounce of flavor (especially the chicken)

My husband and I were forgotten about and didn’t receive our food until it was time for us to go. There were 3 tables that came in after we did and they received their food and left.
Our meals were on the house which we were very appreciative of but the icing on the cake was after we were leaving the cook had the audacity to come out to a table that had been there maybe 15 mins and personally tell them “we thank you for your patience” and apologized to them. Not once did he look in our direction let alone apologize for all of the inconvenience that we received. Me personally, I feel it was a back handed insult. I’m sure he doesn’t care, however I felt the need to express this because I wouldn’t want anyone else that to experience that.

Very little presence from the road, but the food was amazing!! Best french toast I’ve ever had.
Bacon was cooked perfectly! The “fries” are thin potato slices but seasoned perfectly! Staff was very friendly and quick.

Not good. The service was horrible. They took nearly an hour to get our food to us with a nearly empty restaurant. They only had one server for the entire restaurant.

The food tasted normal – not excellent. The fruit consisted of literally two grapes cut in half, one strawberry cut in half and a few blueberries. My potatoes were cold and they forgot my pancake. Finally they got my pancake to me at a later time.

We didn’t even have silverware and had to ask THREE times for it. The tables were a mess and no one cleaned them until we started to leave which was over an hour and half later.

If you don’t get these easy issues fixed, you won’t survive the restaurant game.

Amazing food! We came here visiting from South Carolina for quick getaway. We both ordered french toast, eggs scrambled with grits and bacon. The french toast smelled and tasted amazing. The grits were very well seasoned, and the bacon was crispy and fully cooked the way I love it. The waitress was very polite and professional and!
If we re ever in the area, we will definitely come back to this location!

If you could do a negative rating, I would. The blatant racism and prejudice my fiancé, who is a black man, and I, a white woman, experienced just now was shocking seeing as we were given menus by a mixed young lady. We watched a white couple arrive after us and get waited on. We waited a bit longer and gave the waitresses the benefit of the doubt since the couple was sitting closer to the front, thinking maybe we had a different waitress. Another white couple comes in and sits behind us and another waitress goes to them directly with menus and asks for their drink order. She walks past us as she brings the couple their drinks, and then turn back around to walk back by us and she gives me a small smile and continues to walk on. The young lady who brought us our menu then walks past us and no one stops to even ask us what we would like to drink. I told my fiancé let’s go, and as we are opening the door to walk out, the older lady at the front counter tells us to have a great day. That sealed our thought that everyone deliberately did not wait on us so we would leave. The only difference we had with other customers there is that my fiancé has a darker skin tone and was wearing an Eagles hat.

We own and run an electrical company in TN, we have been in houses and done jobs for everyone, people of different color, of different culture, of different walks of life, with different career choices, of different economic brackets, and even fans of sports teams we don’t root for.

I would believe in 2026, we would be past making people uncomfortable and turning away business because of skin color or any other differences between us and other people.

I hope it wasn’t just because they all were having a bad day, if so I hope their days get better and they don’t have a bad day again. However, we will not ever be back to this establishment or recommend it. I hope that others are aware and do not experience what we did today.

Found this gem on Google. What a treat!
I had eggs Benedict that were better than my homemade version.
Speaking of homemade -best home fries I’ve ever had. And best pancakes I’ve ever had in a restaurant in my life. The house coffee was excellent and I’m very picky about coffee.
Service was excellent and the chef came out and checked on everyone. It was a surprisingly top notch breakfast, which was unexpected since I’d never been here before or heard of this place. Check it out, you’ll love it.

I got the avocado toast as a starter — the avocado was super creamy, and the bacon was nice and crispy, giving a great contrast to the creamy texture. The tomato added some nice acidity, along with a bit of sweetness from the honey. I added some Cholula on top, which gave it kind of a hot honey flavor — it was the bomb.

For my main dish, I got the Southwestern Benedict. The peppers and jalapeños added a really nice spicy touch, and my eggs were cooked perfectly, just how I like them. The hollandaise was creamy and smooth, not too overpowering, and it balanced well with the rest of the dish.

I highly recommend Angel’s for a quick bite if you’re in the area. The establishment was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing.

My husband and I were staying in a nearby hotel and wanted to find a close breakfast spot. We googled “breakfast near me” and Angels Bistro was on the list. We had tried another restaurant the morning before…more of a meat-and-three type…and it was just okay. After eating at Angels Bistro today we were wishing we had found them sooner. The food was amazing and our server was fantastic. She made great recommendations, describing the dishes in such detail that each one sounded better than the last. She even brought out a sample of the grits for us to try. In talking with her we learned that she was responsible for getting the restaurant listed on Google. (Great job! We wouldn’t have found you otherwise. Thank you!) We will be back in town in a few weeks and we will definitely be back. We can’t wait to try their other dishes. Give Angela Bistro a try…you’ll be glad you did.

Best crab cake Benedict I’ve had since Luna Bella stopped doing Sunday brunch! Seriously, probably one of the best breakfast spots in town. It was perfect, to the poached egg to the cake itself. The banana fosters French toast was awesome if you have a sweet tooth- and you get two eggs, meat, fruit and taters with it which I appreciate for the price. The food is really top notch here and so is the service. The only reason I can’t give five stars is the atmosphere is lacking for the fine dining prices of the food. Regardless of hokey ambiance, I see big things for this restaurant and I look forward to going back. Highly recommend yal!
