My experience here has been so up and down, it honestly took me a while to write this review. The first time I went here we shared Greek food and it was pretty damn good. Hot, fresh, waitress was attentive and answered questions. Good experience. Decided to go back, this time we got Italian food. My wife got ravioli and I got the spaghetti and meatballs. Her ravioli was great. It was a huge portion. And the soup we had was pretty good too. My spaghetti was good but the meatballs seemed a little off. We went a third time and got awful service. They brought us flat drinks and when we notified the waitress something was wrong with them she said “yeah our drink machine is messed up.”….okay…. probably could have mentioned that beforehand, but not a problem. Next time we came, which was a month or so ago, the food was awful. Bland, the red sauce seemed reheated, the Alfredo, as others have mentioned, is a really weird Alfredo. Who the hell puts ham in Alfredo?… that’s just weird. Considering real Alfredo is just butter cheese noodles with maybe a little parsley garnish and black pepper, I’m curious how this concoction came to be. It’s almost unrestrained. Like someone is burnt out and stuck in the 80s. I almost fail to believe the person making this stuff is really Italian. Overall just a confusing experience with no consistency.

Mom and I went there for the first time today. The food was EXCELLENT. Everything tastes homemade. We Weill definitely be back. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and the tiramisu 5/5 on everything. Mom has the lasagna (5/5) and the coconut cake which I’m pretty sure she said was a 7/5 (yes it was that good). The portion sizes are definitely worth it.

We love Angelo’s!
The corner location is charming, service is outstanding, and the food is fantastic!
We’ve only been a few times since moving here, but will keep coming back.
Every dish we’ve tried was fresh and flavorful. The red sauce is bright and fragrant, not too heavy, and smooth. All of the sauces and dressings are fresh made and so good!
Some of our favorites so far are the Horiatiki salad- a true Greek salad, our kid’s fave is a sausage, spinach and mushroom calzone. Plus, anything Parmigiano style is incredibly good and frankly, a masdive plate-veal/chicken/eggplant with pasta, and they have authentic soul correcting chicken soup (definitely add a squeeze of lemon.)
On our next trip, we plan to try the array of Greek dishes. I do wish there were more Greek options, but what is there looks very good. The desserts are very impressive too! The menu is huge and really has something for everyone.
Good for a family meal, cozy date, or simple lunch.
A star in the Griffin dining scene for sure!

The only reason I’m giving this 3 stars, my service was excellent. The food was to mediocre, for lunch. Maybe I will come back for dinner to try again. Middle dish was stuffed peppers with red sauce, last dish stuffed eggplant with red sauce(musaki).

The food and service were both exceptional. The fried zucchini tasted os fresh and just delicious. We also got the pesto pizza and it was so tasty. Can’t wait to come back.

The food is just not good. The Alfredo is extremely weird. It’s like a bechamel sauce with boxed spaghetti noodles, lunchmeat ham, mushrooms and onions. So weird. It was not good. I’ve also been disappointed with their pizza, the sandwiches, and the other pasta dishes.

Had a nice dinner on my first visit here. They start you off with complimentary bread with heated marinara sauce. I had the Greek Chicken Soup and the Pastichio. Both were very tasty. Service was excellent.

You couldn’t get a better Italian/Greek meal if You flew to Greece or Italy.
Service is WONDERFUL! Prompt but not hurried.
More amazingly; would You believe I arrived on the same day that the Crazy Italian is the Daily Special?

I ordered the Crazy Italian which comes with a choice of soup or salad.
Because I’ve eaten so much soup lately, I opted for the salad with Italian dressing.

The waiter brings bread that is toasted with a slight char. That’s what I’m talking about!!!

Then, He brings out the CRAZY ITALIAN “packed & stacked”!
DELICIOUSNESS personified!

Enough to feed a two hungry adults or one Griffin Bear’s Linebacker…

I wimped-out and had to ask for a to-go box.

If You’re looking for real, honest to goodness, homemade Greek/Italian cuisine, Angelo’s is Your cucina!

I am here in the good city of Griffin on business! I have been craving a good pizza and a restaurant that showed me the Griffin downtown food culture! And, in my quest for this, I found Angelo’s! This restaurant has been around this area for some time and I can sense that locals come here for some great food! Over a glass of Pinot Noir, I had the calamari and a 10″ meat lovers pizza! The calamari was very good and the pizza felt like it had just come out of a brick oven! It was delectable! On top of that, the owner walked by and checked on everyone–including me! I would definitely come back in a heart beat! On a side note, I did not get to it, but they apparently have some phenomenal desserts as well! Keep up the good work!
