Atlantic City has changed greatly in recent years and so have the restaurants in Atlantic City. Yet Angelo’s, located in the Atlantic City’s Ducktown section, is an Atlantic City restaurants favorite that has endured and flourished for three generations of Mancuso’s – since 1935 – making Angelo’s an Atlantic City restaurants institution! The Mancuso family has been serving Italian specialties for more than 80 years in the Ducktown section of Atlantic City. Angelo’s Fairmount Tavern has long been a local favorite in Atlantic City, NJ. Our unique atmosphere is perfect for an intimate dinner for two, a meal with business associates or comfortable Atlantic City family friendly restaurant dining experience.
Old-school Italian eatery established in 1935 offering generous servings of classics & a wine list.

Really full place, had to wait 45min for a table. And don’t recommend the penne vodka. My wife had to steal the sauce from my ravioli to make it not bland. My ravioli was amazing. They also didn’t have Guinness glass so my drunk was only meh. The salad dressing…. No. Just, no.

Food and service is 5 stars!!! Our waitress was the best, very attentive and friendly. We’ve been here a few times and have never been disappointed. We had the veal parm, linguine with white clam sauce, lasagna, kids had spaghetti with meat balls and chicken tenders

One special place! The fact that this has been owned and operated by the same family since 1935 is an incredible achievement to see the least. We had bruschetta, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and meatballs, lobster ravioli and rigatoni. Waitress was outstanding and the overall ambience was top notch! We will be back!

Old school italian restaurant.
Historic place with alot of memorabilia hanging throughout.
Honestly wasn’t as good as I had anticipated.
Antipasto was OK, some meats and cheeses on a bed of greens.
Chicken parm was large, however cutlets were thick and smothered in sauce which made them pasty.
Linguine with spinach and artichokes, garlic and oil. The spinach was frozen, the artichokes from a jar. Garlic was diced from a jar. These should be cut fresh.
Side salads were bagged salads.
For the iconic status of the restaurant it was disappointing as we expected more from the quality.
It was a decent meal, decent price, just under performed.

One of my favorite restaurants in NJ .
Atlantic City’s famous Italian restaurant, it started business in 1935, – a 90-years old historic great restaurant history.
Comparing to other restaurants in Atlantic City, the prices are reasonable. The portions are generous and the food is delicious.
Our waitress is very attentive even found out a slice of tomato was accidentally dropped in to my boyfriend’s soda before we released while serving salad and replaced it . Great Service. Thumbs up.
The restaurant is filled with valuable historical photos, especially boxing photos ( at our dining area ) and more historical photos.
It’s a great place for family gatherings. Reservations are recommended for groups of more than 10 people.
I recommended to arrive early or late to avoid peak meal times long waiting on weekends and holidays as reservations are not accepted for groups of less than 10 people .
My only suggestion is the salad that comes with the meal; the dressing tend to be too much . If you prefer light meal like me, remember to tell your server salad dressing separately.

I love their marinara sauce (chunky and tasty and lots of good natural tomato flavors and onion). The food is good and plenty. The sampler appetizer was fun with spicy ravioli, mozzarella sticks, and shrimp. The calamari was lightly enough battered and again good sauce. The meatball was a bit overdone and had a smoky taste to it but it was big and plenty. The pasta with clams had a lot of clams just not a lot of sauce. I would have loved the red marinara sauce on my pasta with clams. The cheese on the chicken parmigiana was really good and the chicken was well done. Overall I love the sports memorabilia and decorations and the home feel of the place. Free parking lots (2 lots) so no worries about driving. Free side salad that comes with lemon vinaigrette dressing so if you don’t like dressing the way they add it, ask for it on the side. I didn’t know so I had to drain the large amount of dressing in water. Most main dishes are starting at $20 to $30. Light and fluffy Italian bread as a free appetizer and that was good. Plenty of leftovers to take home.

This place was amazing! Food was not only delicious but affordable and with big portions. Family restaurant with patrons coming here for 60 years. The house wine was perfect with our meal. This was by far the best part of our trip to AC!

Nice casual cozy atmosphere that has the feeling of the neighbourhood Italian restaurant with lots of pictures and memories on the walls. It also has a casual bar which is usually packed on the weekends. The service is friendly and just right. Attentive but not invasive. Dinner starts with warm bread and a nice salad with a house dressing which is perfect. We have visited several times and have tried a variety of dishes. The food is always good. We never let disappointed! One of our favourite places.

My husband and I love sitting at the bar and having dinner. This is a great place to do that. Angelo’s gives divey/mob vibes—Tony Soprano would have loved it here. Friendly bartenders, extensive menu, large portions. We split the crab dip appetizer and both had stuffed rigatoni in Rosa sauce. We had so much left over, and it was just as good the next day. The carrot cake was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!
