Longer review,

Angelonis is a really nice hidden gem for cocktails and hangouts with great staff and great drinks. The vibe is potentially the best I’ve ever experienced and I wish I had this place back home.

Major drawbacks are it’s located in a not so great area and our food was either too salty or just bland along with butternut squash pasta that had 3 pieces of squash in the whole 8 oz serving. Definitely has the chance to be wonderful food since it all tasted fairly fresh.

Final verdict? I’d come back for drinks but not for food

What an amazing experience! This place was like walking into a time capsule. The staff, the food, the atmosphere was such a wonderful experience. The whipped ricotta was one of the best I’ve ever had. Seafood specials dish was nothing less than a feast for royalty, fresh, tasty and delicious. Raviolis were seasonally delectable and so was my sisters pasta. This place is a true gem to Atlantic City and I will certainly be back. Oh! The cocktails were all delicious and the house wine was perfect for the table. I believe the GM here greeted us at the end of the night and gifted us tiramisu 100/10 I HIGHLY recommend

Not only was the food and atmosphere absolutely amazing, but the staff went above and beyond when our reservation didn’t actually go through. They accommodated us right away with warmth and professionalism, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great service on top of a wonderful meal—I’ll definitely be back!

So cool. Back to the 80’s. Atmosphere is off the charts. Decor and music Playlist were great. Food and apps were perfectly portioned. Drinks were tasty and strong. Prices were actually good. Definitely add to your list. Do yourself a favor and walk around the restaurant, make sure to check the bathrooms if you want a throwback.

Celia was our waitress and she was a ROCKSTAR. The vibe of this place is stunning. I am not from AC or else this is a place I would frequently come to drink with friends. The food however needs a revamp. A lot of the dishes were greasy or had a sharp acidic taste. I think if the head chef just revamped the menu, it would be stellar. Still absolutely worth it and when I’m in AC, I’ll be back. GREAT STAFF

A Late-Night Gem with Retro Vibes & Unforgettable Flavors!

My partner and I stumbled upon this place during a late-night craving in Atlantic City, and wow—I’m obsessed. From the moment we walked in around 10:30 PM on a Saturday, the retro 70s/80s decor & music transported us to another era. The vibe was electric, thanks to a DJ spinning throwback tunes that matched the aesthetic perfectly.

We started with drinks, and I was thrilled they could craft a -passionfruit martini &mocktail*—it was divine, served with a cute little shooter of Sprite (such a classy touch!). For appetizers, the crabcake (with butter and arugula) and meatballs were both delicious, but the real star was the rib tip pappardelle. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the homemade noodles were perfection, and the rich sauce had us savoring every bite. We took tiramisu to go, and it might be the best I’ve had in years.

Shoutout to our server, who was an absolute doll—attentive, warm, and added to the fantastic experience. This place is nostalgic, fun, and serves food worth raving about. We also got two beautiful post cards to take home when the check came. If I could teleport this restaurant to my hometown, I would. 10/10—will be telling everyone to go!

Cool bar alert!! We came here for happy hour as it was right around the corner from a spot that was completely full. The bar is like stepping back in time. It has such a chill retro vibe, and is kept up so nicely it could be a movie set. It even has touches like powder soap in the bathroom (had no clue how to use it, but it was cool).

Their happy hour is just as unique as the setting. Rather than offer a discount on drinks, they serve your choice of a snack from their snack menu. I had the cocktail with tomato, basil, and olive oil infused vodka. My snack was their cheese spread and fried bread. Loved the snack, thought the cocktail was refreshing though strong. Overall, I’m so glad we came here rather than going to the other happy hour with the insane wait. Would definitely recommend!

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

I called the restaurant on a whim since I was nearby to check if they had availability. A man took my reservation and said he’d send me a link to complete a deposit. I thought that was odd since I was only a few minutes away, but I went ahead and followed the link to pay the $60 deposit.

When my party and I arrived, no one greeted us. After waiting a bit, I walked around and finally found someone
.. a woman who was actually in the middle of a heated argument with another staff member. She ended up seating us in the back dining area. We sat there for about 25 minutes before anyone came over, and at that time there were only a few other guests in the entire restaurant.

When someone finally did approach our table, it was a man who rudely asked, “Who sat you here? Did you really walk in and seat yourself ?” We explained that a staff member had seated us, and he walked off only to start arguing again with the same woman that sat us.

He eventually came back and dropped off menus. About 15 minutes later, a young server came by to take our drink orders. It took her about 45 minutes and several trips back and forth , asking over and over what drinks we wanted. All this complication just to bring our cocktails, though we ordered straight from the drink menu. I even offered to walk to the bar myself, but she insisted she was handling it.

When it came time to order food, the wait was another hour. By that point, we were so frustrated we nearly left. I’m a patient person and understand that delays can happen, but being there for over two hours without food was unacceptable.

When the food finally arrived, we decided to box it up and leave. To make matters worse, when we got the bill, they tried to cheat us l for the deposit we’d already paid. When I brought it to the guy’s attention, he questioned if I even made a deposit.I had to show proof of payment from my banking app before they finally corrected it.

Overall, this experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. The Restaurant was beautiful BUT would never return to this establishment and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

My first time in Atlantic City and I really thought there’s no way I ever need to come to this town again for anything except then we came here to Angelonis and now I must come back. The atmosphere is my favorite of any eatery ever- the vibe the decor the mirror ceilings, the lighting is perfect, the records and the velvet and the powdered soap.. all of it! The drink menu was lovely, I had the girl dinner complete with gummy worms. The food was literally the best Italian I’ve ever had. The sauce on the eggplant is something I will not soon forget- so fresh and flavorful and I will come back to Atlantic City for that alone. The mozzarella-OMG. The chicken cutlet hell yes. The meatballs oh yea. That pesto with pistachio I stuffed my face I’m telling you it was so good. This is a must visit type of place and I’ll tell everyone I know about it anytime AC comes up in conversation.

New favorite restaurant in AC. Amazing cocktails, the wedge salad was great. The roasted fennel ricotta ravioli knocked my socks off. Chicken was good too although I’ll go spicy next time. Sauce was a bit heavy on the oregano for my personal taste so a bit rustic. Still very good. Thinking of returning tonight .
