When in Breaux Bridge, stop by Angelle’s for a good meal and great entertainment from the chef/owner. Greets all his customers as they walk in with “You hungry or thirsty?” We were both!
We split a tasty Gator Burger made with freshly ground alligator meat and sides of onion rings and fries. Washed it down with Barq’s rootbeer in a bottle. It was all very yummy!
The owner put on quite a show with his dancing skills.

The kind of old fashioned rustic hole-in-the-wall you’d expect to find downtown Breaux Bridge. The owners got a lot of personality and he makes a great burger and even better onion rings.

Stopped by here for Sunday lunch while visiting the area alone – after Sunday Mass down the street, before my flight home. Food was amazing, and service was top notch, keeping me entertained and in stitches the entire time. I hated to leave, and will definitely be back my next time through.

I just love these locally owned greasy spoon food joints! It’s small but effective. Super good burgers and those onion rings are amazing! Very nice friendly people working there, even the customers are nice. Everyone talks to everyone like family. Some of the best places are these little hole in the wall places. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband is in the military and had the weekend off for Memorial Day so we met up in Breaux Bridge. We love burgers so we tried Angelle’s. Do you enjoy whole-in-the-wall places and juicy burgers? This is your place!! They do sell Blue Bell ice cream as well, but we got filled up with the delicious lunch, so we have to return to get dessert later.
My husband got the fries and chili burger which added an amazing flavor and texture to the burger. The fries were amazing with or without Angelle’s seasoning, which she sells! We definitely had to take some home.
I got the cheeseburger with a fried egg on top and the onion rings. Oh, the onion rings!! My son and husband, who don’t like onion rings, LOVED them!!
My son, who is an overall picky eater got the chicken burger (plain) and he really enjoyed it.
My daughter got the nuggets which weren’t listened on the menu, but the waitress who was so kind to the kids suggested it for her. They were Tyson nuggets, but they fried them and that was easily the best Tyson nuggets I’ve ever tried.
They even had these adorable little old-fashioned candy vending machines for $0.25 a piece. The kids loved it- they had never seen one before.
Overall, this was an incredibly kid-friendly place. Small restaurant with huge, booming flavor! We would definitely come back just for this place! Highly recommend

Came here a while ago for coffee but loved the burger smell. This time came for cheeseburger and onion rings. They have and I usually get sweet potato fries but the homemade onion rings looked good on everybody else’s tray.

Pretty good food. Burgers were tasty. Fries remind me of homemade fries from my youth. Definitely brought back memories. Onion rings were a little thin and greasy but were still good. Hotdog (bayou Dog)was good also. Nice area of town to do a little shopping and then stop in here for some lunch. Recommended.
