Stopped by the other day for some food, and was welcomed happily & openly by Paul. He suggested yummy food options, and engaged me in respectful, yet casual conversation. Definitely connected well with him. Since I love tea, he recommended a John Daly.. and Paul made it perfectly! it is now my new favorite leisurely drink. His customer service overall was a 10/10. I will be coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Got a large Margarita pizza – the dough was bland and bottom soft, cheese flavorless and tomato’s hard. Literally tastes worse than dominos yet three times the price. 10 old bay wings tasted ok but were burnt to hell (and dry as a result). Don’t know how this place has such a high rating. Service was fine – waitress was nice and the food isn’t her fault so tipped 15%. Total came out to 62 after tip.

The food and the service were both AMAZING! Grayson made my visit so much more enjoyable. She was very welcoming and her vibe was great! She answered every question I had and moved very quickly. Not to mention my food was fresh and tasted great! I loved my experience here I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been here a couple of times now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots for pizza in the area. The crust is perfectly baked, the toppings taste super fresh, and the garlic bread is amazing. Tried the pasta last time too — really good! The place has a cozy vibe, perfect for a casual dinner, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Great food, good prices, and a nice atmosphere all around.

When out to dinner with a friend and decided on pizza. Stopped by and had Grayson as a server. She was efficient and friendly, had us laughing and going thru memory lane with stories and jokes. The food was excellent, I love pizza so to impress me is a big deal! I would definitely come back again and recommend this location.

My last (and first) time at this quaint, laid back place, I only had time for the Portabella Mushrooms with spinach and spicy cream sauce last time. It was delish!

This time I MADE the time to have the Fresconi veggie’za, with spinach, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, feta and caramelized onions. Quite good. I’d say it’s not quite thin gourmet or thick pizza—but somewhere in the middle—comfort food pizza! For me, three slices is filling, with a melange of veggie taste and a tasty crust! Is it the best pizza in Baltimore? We have so many styles, I can’t say. But I definitely want to come back and try the other ‘zas and the broad range of food available (see below).

I had SO much time to kill, that the manager recommended the Espresso Martini. I’ll never get to sleep tonight, but it was SO GOOD! Note: I was having such a nice time, he let me have an Angeli shot on the house—sweetness divine!

I recommend this place for groups, with a buddy or all by your lonesome at the bar, lunch or late night, when you want pizza, salads, sandwiches, pasta and drinks. The atmosphere is chill and the staff accommodating and sociable. I highly recommend hanging out here at night!

I’ve tried this place twice, since they have such high reviews and have been featured on various listicles. It’s not good pizza. I prefer the average Papa John’s and Domino’s over this pizza.

The crust is sweet and chewy. The toppings are of indifferent quality. For example, if you ate the pepperoni blindfolded, you might think it was an under-flavored salami. The sauce is watery. The cheese is fine but over half their pizzas have gorgonzola on them, which does strange things to the flavor profile.

I also tried the meatballs (they tasted like chef boyardi) and the chocolate hazelnut dessert (it seemed more like an ice cream product than an ice cream).

The only thing I enjoyed was their salad with roasted veggies. It was good, particularly the balsamic dressing.

More than anything, I’m bewildered. Baltimore has a lot of great pizza. This isn’t it.

Their Mount Royal location is inviting and very clean with outdoor tables. Outstanding friendly customer service every time I’ve gone.

Calzone – spicy tomato sauce, provolone, mozzarella, mushrooms, and sausage. It was too bready with a bland taste…just bread. It wasn’t stuffed enough. Not a good calzone.

Pizza – pepperoni and sausage wasn’t greasy. It was nice and thin. The taste was ok.

Portobello Mushrooms with Spinach and Chicken was tasteless. I actually desired this dish and was hopeful that it would be flavorful.

Waffle Fries – were awful. Great portion, though

Stollen Meatballs – were just okay

Cheese Bread – it’s really cheese pizza that’s hard and tasteless. I should have asked how it would be served. This was an awful menu offering. Awful!

Pepperoni, Sausage, Black Olive Pizza was very good

While exploring the Baltimore area, I was looking for a good spot to grab a bite and came across a local recommendation for Angeli’s Pizzeria & Bar — and I’m glad I followed through.

Located near The Walters Art Museum and MICA, this spot has a relaxed, inviting atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. The place feels like a neighborhood favorite — casual but with a real commitment to quality.

We started with the Garlic Lemon Pepper wings — crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor. For pizzas, we ordered the Diavolo Chicken, which comes with spicy smoked tomato sauce, mozzarella, marinated chicken breast, caramelized onions, and pancetta — bold and well-balanced. The Fresconi was a lighter but still rich choice, topped with garlic herb sauce, mozzarella, spinach, marinated artichokes, cherry tomatoes, feta, and caramelized onions. Both were fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.

You can tell this place takes pride in what they serve, using good ingredients and nailing the basics with care. I later read about the history of the original Angeli’s in New Orleans and how the family brought the concept back to life here in Baltimore. That kind of background just adds to the charm.

If you’re in the area and craving pizza or just a solid meal in a chill setting, Angeli’s is definitely worth a visit.
