We tried a variety of dishes, including Crab Cakes, Truffle Mushrooms, Veal Bolognese, Meatballs, Pork Osso Buco, and ended with their signature dessert, Zeppoli’s, for two, with fruit and chocolate dipping sauces.
Gabby was our server and she was phenomenal! Very upbeat, fun, attentive, and patient! We started with the meatballs which were very, very good I just wish the ricotta was a little warmer as it cooled the meatball temp down each bite with how much ricotta there was. Didn’t ruin taste or experience at all, just a personal preference is all! For our entrees I got the 14oz NY strip which was cooked perfectly, the potatoes served with it were like a breakfast home fry and they were delicious! My wife got the butternut squash and those are a MUST ORDER! So good! I’ve never had butternut squash let alone in a ravioli and I regretted not getting it after one bit. They were so good! Again, personal preference I’d say way less arugula. For desserts we got the zeppole’s and tiramisu… The tiramisu was very soft, a little too rummy but not bad at all just a slight bit less and it would’ve been perfect. But we both really liked the tiramisu. HOWEVER! The zeppole’s were unbelievably great/phenomenal/excellent/perfect whatever adjective you want to use they were it! We LOVED THEM! I do wish they weren’t served in a paper bag but I get it for the powdered sugar and cinnamon. They were so dang good though. Food and service were 5/5s EASILY!!
The only “issues” were that we were sat in this side room which felt like a conference room. It was small, loud if you talked and way too warm as well as just feeling like an afterthought in the restaurant. The second “issue” was seeing a table come in and be sat with two of the men wearing open toed sandals when the restaurants dress code specifically states “All guests should avoid casual clothing items such as t-shirts, baseball caps, shorts, and any form of beachwear. Men are requested to avoid open-toed shoes.” To me it was a little disappointing have a semi-formal night out with my wife and spending $380 on dinner to see men wearing sandals and very casual attire. Issues feels too harsh a word for my grievances but they did take away from the overall vibe of the night.
That being said… I could not recommend Angelina’s enough, absolutely fantastic food and service! 5/5! (pics posted out of order!)
We ended up getting a curtained booth last minute due to a cancellation and I was so excited! It was for my birthday celebration so I was very happy with that. The man that worked the valet stand was very kind and professional. Every bit of our experience was amazing.
I ordered the wagyu beef filet and I 100000% recommend that dish! I absolutely recommend this fine establishment! We will be coming back again!
Our server Beau was kind, knowledgeable and attentive, and we were surprised by how quickly our food was coming out especially on such a busy night.
A complimentary bite from the chef set the tone for the excellent meals we had. Free bread and butter throughout was a nice touch. Highly recommend the eggplant rollatini appetizer.
Best of all, what we paid for what we had was extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Best pasta in SWFL!
P.S.: We are a gay couple and were treated very respectfully, that is to say, no different than any other couple there that evening.
From the moment we walked in, the entire staff — the hostess, our waiter, and the manager — were warm, attentive, and professional. The service was truly impeccable.
I ordered the osso buco and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was flavorful, well prepared, and exactly what I was hoping for. My wife ordered a chicken dish that, unfortunately, wasn’t what she expected. When our waiter came by to check on us, she mentioned it simply to explain why she hadn’t finished it.
What happened next really impressed us. Shortly afterward, a woman who I believe was the manager came to our table and sincerely offered to replace the dish. We had nearly finished our meal, and my wife was already full, so she declined another entrée at the table. Without hesitation, the manager offered to prepare a different meal for her to take home — and sent us home with another osso buco.
That level of attentiveness and generosity speaks volumes about how they treat their guests. While every dish may not suit every taste, the atmosphere, professionalism, and genuine care for customers make this restaurant stand out.
Would we return? Absolutely. The combination of excellent service, pleasant ambiance, and overall value makes it a place we’re happy to recommend.
All of our dishes were excellent. For the main course, my wife took the veal marsala with risotto, which she absolutely loved. I took the halibut piccata which was fresh and delicious, cooked to perfection.
