The service was great!
The food was even better!
The garlic parmesan pretzels were the best pretzels I have ever had and the alfredo dip that came with it was absolutely delicious ! The were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and everything a pretzel should be. The alfredo was creamy and full of flavor. When you are scooping it out and eating it with a fork you know it’s good! You can bet I got a to go container of probably maybe a dips worth of Alfredo in it but no drop can go to waste when dealing with something THAT delicious
I got the ceasar salad with grilled chicken and their ranch. It was sooo good. The ranch had a tanginess to it, almost like a peppercorn ranch. The chicken was juicy and seasoned nicely. The parmesan wasn’t that cheap stuff you get in the green bottle it was shaved and so good I could’ve just eaten a plate of it.
I also got a side of asparagus and it was absolutely divine. It had the perfect crisp without being overdone and the perfect tenderness without being soggy.
Will DEFINITELY be back to try more!
We split the Pretzel Bites $11.00- they give you a choice of garlic parmesan with alfredo dip or triple cheese gouda dip. I don’t like a lot of salt on my pretzels and these were perfectly salted. We paid an extra $4.00 and got both dips. As much as I love cheese, I must admit the alfredo dip was so much better! Both dips came with a large amount.
I ordered the Garlic Butter Shrimp $15.00- succulent shrimp sautéed in a savory garlic butter sauce. Served with mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus. The only small complaint I have about the shrimp, is I wish they had a little bit more salt/seasoning, it was a little bland. Other than that, everything was delicious. The asparagus were perfectly grilled and seasoned. And the mashed potatoes? OMG. I did take the leftover Gouda from the pretzel bites and put that on the mashed potatoes. It didn’t need it… But cheese is always going to make something taste even better and we definitely couldn’t have it go to waste lol
My friend Charity Cruz ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad $13.00 Crisp romaine lettuce mixed with caesar dressing, grilled chicken, freshly grated parmesan cheese & house-made croutons. She did substitute the caesar dressing for ranch. (she’s crazy, I know… What can I say?) she said the chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. She also used the rest of the Parmesan dip from the pretzels to put on her chicken.
I don’t remember our server’s name, but she was really good. The overall visit was a 10+!
Our wait staff was excellent! She was engaging and attentive without hovering. The drinks and food were served promptly. We did order dessert, and our first choice was chocolate cake, which we did not get because it was still frozen. Our second choice was red velvet cake which was light on icing. That’s my preference, so it was not a negative. What was a negative was the icing on the outside of the cake has a savory taste like it has been stored beside of a dish that had strong seasoning. That was a negative. Both of us could taste it.
The restaurant is dimly lit and not large. There is bar seating. There are a few individual tables in the window overlooking the street, but the majority of the seating is one long banquette bench with rows of tables running the length and individual chairs on the outside.
We have done take out with them several times and been highly satisfied with the quality of the food. They have a large appetizer menu that would be perfect for sharing to make a small plates meal.
Definitely give this one a try!
We will definitely be back!
Angelie’s is the best in town.
Food was amazing! My salmon was perfect, wife’s Alfredo was sublime (she had to smack my hand a few times, I kept stealing off her plate haha).
The slider appetizers were fantastic! My daughter doesn’t really like burgers, but she devoured hers. She also went hulk on her chicken tenders.
My son did a Kirby on his sliders. The sidewinder fries are a must, so good!
The cheese curds are the best! Please make them available as a side too!
The carrot cake was one of the best carrot cakes I’ve had. So moist.
The wait staff, absolutely deserve an A+! Extremely friendly, attentive and a joy to talk to.
I think Angelie’s will be our go-to from now on.
I took a picture of the carrot cake, I forgot to take pictures of everything else because once that first bite hits your mouth, you will not want to stop.
