Angele Restaurant & Bar is a cornerstone of the Napa Valley dining scene. It’s a true French bistro that consistently executes at a high level—great energy, polished service, and food that’s classic, well-balanced, and reliably on point.
It’s also one of the best spots in town to people-watch; you’ll often see winemakers and industry locals, which says a lot about how trusted this place is. Everything runs with strong operational cadence—from pacing to hospitality—without feeling stuffy or overproduced.
Bottom line: a high-performing Napa staple and an easy repeat.

Came here for lunch and we were blown away by how fabulous the food and the service and ambience was. I had the potato leek soup, which was truly a work of art with a fluffy crusty shell. Absolutely amazing. Truly was the highlight of the lunch. We decided to make a reservation and come back the following evening for dinner. And requested the same table. We came back the following evening and our table was taken and not available and we were then seated across from the kitchen next to the bar. I spent half of my dinner being brushed against by people standing at the bar while I’m trying to eat my food. The truffled pasta was amazing. Food is fabulous. Lunch is fabulous, dinner is great if you’re going for the bar scene very loud at night, different atmosphere completely from lunch. At lunch, I felt like I was sitting in the French countryside. At dinner, it felt like a nightclub.

I have been wanting to this restaurant for years and finally had the chance to make a visit.
We ordered the French onion soup, the nicoise salad, and the special of the day which was the braised beef ravioli with mushrooms. The French onion soup was amazing, but I noticed everyone ordering the potato leek soup. That also looked amazing with the puff pastry on top. The nicoise salad was delicious. Maybe a touch too many kalmata olives but otherwise great. I felt that he ravioli was a touch too salty for my taste but the flavor was excellent. You can really tell that they put a lot of attention into their foods.
We finished the meal with the chocolate mousse with Chantilly cream. Not too sweet and absolutely perfect.
Our server was fantastic by the way. I forget his name, but an older gentleman who really does a great job in describing the menu and food.
Highly recommend this place!

Angele was such a great dinner experience. We went to celebrate a birthday with a big group, and the service was very attentive from start to finish. The roasted heritage chicken and the wild mushrooms were my favorites, and of course the wine was perfect. The cocktails were also really well made. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, even though we sat outside, we stayed warm thanks to the heaters. We really enjoyed our dinner.

Authentic atmosphere, impeccable service, deliciously prepared food, great beautiful location. Stepping inside instantly transports you to Europe. The lighting is warm and cozy. Our server was good with timing and recommendations. Beets salad, escargot, pate and potato leek soup was a perfect start. The steak was great. Our desert was very tasty. It is recommended to make a reservation as it is always busy. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion…

A popular French spot with the convivial dining room. Wines by the glass offer enough variety and are reasonably priced. My steak tartar was on a more traditional side, I guess, finely chopped with generous amounts of onions and pepper. The lamb was tasty. Overall, a solid and enjoyable meal.

A favorite among locals and visitors wanting boughie experience. Since it was Restaurant month they had a lunch special for $38. It was a three course meal starting with tuna tartare, followed by gnocchi enriched with mushrooms. Dessert was house made coconut ice cream. All were quite filling.

Amazing food, more than wonderful server (Madeline and her team) such a lovely smile and all were so thoughtful.
I can’t recommend Angele enough. It’s not a restaurant you hear about all the time, but that is the beauty of it. Locals know best, and the restaurant seems to be a favorite.

So good! We were celebrating our anniversary and they helped make it even more special with a bubbly beverage. The food was phenomenal – we walked out of there stuffed. They’ve turned my wife into a caviar lover!

For the last three Thanksgivings and several of Mom’s birthdays, we have celebrated with the Angele family. At a recent Thanksgiving celebration, every course could have been a meal in itself. The dinner included delicious potato leek soup, a traditional turkey dinner, and bread pudding for dessert.
p.s. thank you for the cherries in my coke! Highly recommend!
