We started with the Hakka noodles, which had an awesome taste and perfect spice level. The Afghani momos were a highlight – served in a rich cashew nut gravy and absolutely delicious.
For mains, we ordered Angara Chicken, which was very flavorful, tender, and served in a good quantity. The Paneer Masala was also well cooked and tasty. The Dal Makhani was just okay compared to the other dishes, but still decent enough to enjoy.
The garlic naan was super soft and honestly one of the best we’ve had. The tandoori / laccha paratha was nicely made, and we also had rice and a bowl of raita to go with the meal.
Our server Suman (Susan) took our order carefully and served us very nicely throughout the meal. Rashmi, the manager, also checked on us and recommended the Afghani momos, which turned out to be a fantastic suggestion.
The restaurant has a decent amount of seating, but reservations are recommended. Overall, a great place for Indian and Hakka food, and I would definitely recommend visiting with friends or family.
The Chicken Lollipop, mango juice, and fresh lime soda were good but not outstanding. Everything else, however, was exceptional. The food overall was a delight, and the Afghani momos were easily the star of the meal.
Seating is limited, so expect a wait during busy hours. Using the Google waiting list option on Angara’s website is a smart move. Service was excellent up to the main course — the staff managed the small table space well and timed the dishes thoughtfully. After the mains, there were some delays with drinks and getting take-out boxes, but the staff apologized, so no major complaints.
Overall, a solid spot with standout food and good service. Would definitely return.
The service is what really sets this place apart. The downtown location is good too, but this one clearly stands out because of the staff. They’re polite, their recommendations are always on point, and they handle customizations without any fuss.
The hot and sour soup and the street-style Hakka noodles are absolute must-tries.
The ambiance could be better, sure — but when the food and service are this good, it honestly doesn’t matter.
This has officially become our new go-to spot for Hakka and chai.
I can’t even put into words how incredible the food was — it was a complete flavor explosion! I tried the Chef’s Special Paneer Angara Sabji with Garlic Naan, and OMG… it was just wowww! Honestly, the bestest paneer dish I’ve ever had — rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced.
Then came their Special Manchow Soup, which they make with their own twist — and I literally loved it! So comforting, delicious, and full of flavor.
But the real showstopper for me was the Dal Tadka. I ordered it online, and just by the smell I knew it was going to be amazing — it had that authentic Indian aroma that made me super excited to eat! Paired with Jeera Rice, it was pure heaven.
I also tried the Roadside Veg Hakka Noodles, and it honestly felt like I was back in India eating from my favorite street food stall — spicy, tasty, and absolutely perfect.
Every single bite made me so happy. Angara Indian Restaurant truly nailed it — this is hands down the best food I’ve had in a long, long time. Highly, highly recommend! ❤️

The food was authentic and delicious. I ordered Roadside Noodles and Dry Manchurian, and both dishes tasted amazing — it’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed food like this.
Overall, wonderful experience! Definitely looking forward to eating here again.
