Just had a wonderful dinner at the bar of Andy’s; went in looking for clams, not on the menu tonight, but I had fish and chips that made me not even miss them.

The lobster mac n cheese was watery… almost soupy. The fried pickles were missing half of their batter. Who uses spears and not chips for fried pickles? This place! The drinks were not strong at all. Give me a strong drink and charge me for it, I won’t mind! Oh, cheese fries were good. The people were very nice. Atmosphere was pleasing but the barstools could use some fixing or replacing.

Great atmosphere for a pub. The specialty “Andy’s beer” is a really good tasting beer. We ate the fish tacos. What was inside the taco shell was fantastic, but the taco shell itself was not great (almost stale). Still, a good place to go–maybe try some different food.

Love those bar, it’s unique and give the feeling of old but new all in one. The owner is a great person she makes sure she is not just the boss, but also a worker like her employees. Anyone of the bartenders have been down to either and chill. Pool table and darts. It’s a cute and small must find place to hang. The also support local Breweries. and local bands they find a way to make it happen. She also supports local artists. This bar is again worth the visit.

Came for the $5 margaritas (they don’t skimp!), stayed for the fried pickles, friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. Taking a look at the menu, wondering about that lobster roll and blueberry pie everyone is raving about. Big room in the back with a pool table and unpretentious people eating and conversing. (You might want to ask the price of the lobster roll before ordering.)

A local suggested this place- and it turn out to be the best lobster roll place in Portland. The food was so fresh n everything was perfectly cooked. Portion are quite good enough and their freshly made fries. Lobster stew was good too

Good chowder and seafood in your standard pub setting. Beer selection is solid with a number of local options I hadn’t heard of including ciders. The standout for me was the lobster roll which they offer in either butter or mayonnaise. Onion rings were good but had a heavier breading than I was used to so I didn’t finish them. Unfortunately they don’t have great water views like some places along the shore but they do offer live music which is great to listen to while eating along with a pool table in the back. Decor has some fun nautical elements to look at while enjoying your meal.

We stopped here on a food tour for the fish tacos made with fresh haddock and beer. Andy himself came out and gave us some history and talked about how fresh and homemade the meals are. It’s a rather unassuming place with stellar chefs, and a friendly and engaging staff.
