I’ve been here before when the POST was first coming up and it is as great!! But coming back to revisit it, the food quality has dropped dramatically and the prices are still about the same, if not, much higher than before. Ordered the Peru Ceviche Mix . The raw seafood was okay, but the raw fish was super dry and runny. The fried squid tasted stale and side garnishes were not good with the main protein of the dish. Was let down by a once solid spot located in the POST

The place looks super clean and cozy, and the cashier was really nice. The menu had me excited — lots of tasty-looking options. I ordered the lomo saltado, and while it looked amazing, the meat was unfortunately pretty dry and lacking flavor. There were way more fries than meat, and the portion of meat itself left a lot to be desired. The rice, though, was the real winner — soaked up all the juice and tasted great. Then again, if I wanted rice, I could make that at home and save the money.

What threw me off was the extra charge for sauces. Kinda feels like penny pinching when you don’t even get one with your meal, especially when the meat could’ve really used it.

Overall, not a bad spot and I’d give it another shot, but for now it’s a solid 3 stars.

Verdict: ⭐️⭐️1/2

It was my first time at the POST food hall and I walked around to see all of the options. Andes Cafe stood out to me as the most unique cuisine/ menu offered. The staff was nice enough to take my order even though it was near closing time. I ordered the steak and fries and passion fruit cheesecake. I am not much of a meat eater so it’s hard for me to say the steak was my favorite but I did enjoy the side salad and the bed of French fries. The French fries were fried to golden perfection and the salad was nicely assembled with thinly sliced onions and a chimichurri type of dressing. I would go back here again just to have another serving of their fries. I can do without the steak, even though it was still a pretty good addition. Would definitely pass on the passion fruit cheesecake. At $8 a piece I couldn’t help but feel, I was eating an overpriced piece of store bought cheesecake under the guise of supposedly “fancy” plating. I’ll still be open to trying this place out again. I’d be interested to explore their ceviche bar next time. And for sure get an order of fries.

This was my first time here and the food was awful, the meet was cooked as requested and the lomo was more like French fries and rice.
We waited 30 minutes for the lady pick up the plates from a table so we can seat.

A hidden gem in Post Houston – well worth the visit. A mix of different South American cuisines. The steak has been well seasoned and perfect tenderness every time we have ordered. Today I had the mixed ceviche and it was unique (with white corn and seaweed) but really one of the best ceviches I’ve had! The owner is super sweet – gave my son a few cookies which made his day.

Arepas with NY steak and plantains were stellar. I was shocked to see the reviews after eating here because I had a great experience and the food was so flavorful. Quick service on a Wednesday night. Will be back!

Delicious. I had to choose my food quickly, from all the places in The Post and, with no disrespect to the other places, I’m glad I grabbed my meal from Andes.

I got the chicken dish with the salad and fries (and some herb-based dipping sauce) and it was absolutely delicious.

I took it to go, but I waited at the venue for them to prepare it and it was a cute little place with good music.

“Simply Delicious”… True gourmet sea food… Mixtures of techniques and flavors, cultural aromas of preparation with products that take you on a journey to the depths of feeling and enjoying what you see and eat prepared in front of you, with the energy of the Chef transmitted with experience and culinary talent, fresh multicultural to your palate. Excellent price-quality ratio for this secret Ceviche Bar, inserted in the center of the Houston Downtown. Its strategic location within this bustling and saturated urban space, protects the harmony and the environment to taste without problems the modern marine environment of the place. The select wine very agreed to enjoy without invading or removing prominence when feeling the taste of the sea. Beautiful decorative cultural details accompany you enhancing your comfort, giving elegance to the restaurant.
The seriousness and professionalism to reserve allow real beginners to select and filter what they really want to enjoy. As a Gourmet from the country with the longest Pacific coasts in the world and great abundance or variety of seafood, I recommend this place 100%.

I am super stoked to have found this small yet flavorful place! I love Peruvian food, especially the ceviche. We ordered everything from the tequenos, empanadas, ceviche mixto, and the Lomo saltado. First off, the empanadas were full of beef and juicy. I have had empanadas at other placed where they skimp out on the beef and stuff more potatoe than anything-this was not the case. The Ceviche was finger licking good. Lastly, the Lomo was so soft and tender. Very impressed with the amount of flavor they packed onto each plate. I wish I would have gotten dessert but honestly, I was stuffed.. Guess now I have another reason to come back. Try them out! Also be patient, they were super busy but worth the wait.
