The Anchor is a very popular pub and grille located in Beverly, MA just over the Essex bridge across from the historic Glover Wharf. The Anchor was founded in 1996 by renowned bar owner and restauranteur, the late Capt. Joe Boudreau. The Anchor thrives today as a watering hole and eatery for both locals and visitors alike. We offer a multitude of seafood items and American fare from our kitchen as well as a full bar with dozens of cold beer options & delicious cocktails. We have a beautiful outdoor Tiki bar and patio that can be enjoyed in favorable weather and a large indoor bar and two separate indoor dining options. We would be delighted for you to join us for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks 365 days a year at the Anchor!
Burgers, lobster & cocktails served in a stalwart tavern with darts, pool tables & a nautical theme.

The Anchor Pub and Grill is a lively spot with a classic New England vibe. You can’t miss the huge bar area—it’s large and well-stocked, and the beer selection is great. Plus, here’s a detail I really appreciate: their non-alcoholic drinks are cheap. It’s nice to see a place that doesn’t overcharge if you’re the designated driver or just skipping alcohol.
Oh yeah…the seafood is amazing. We had the scallops and shrimp, and they were cooked perfectly. You have to get the fries too; they are crispy and delicious and the perfect savory complement to the meal.
Overall, the Anchor Pub and Grill delivers a great experience—a strong social vibe, high-quality food, and fair prices. I highly recommend checking it out.

A great deal on lobster! We visited while on vacation, specifically for the lobster! We started with the clam chowder, which could have been hotter. Not cold, but needed a little more heat. The lobster was fresh and hot! Our server was very attentive. Keep in mind that this is a pub and grille. Our table was adjacent to the dart area. We had several instances when we got in the way of folks playing darts.

Always a good spot for a pub atmosphere, they have a great outdoor seating area as well.
Food is spectacular, I got the seafood pie with mashed potato and french fries. Their french fries are super crispy. And one of my buddies got a small pizza.
Best for parking, there a lot right across the street, or you can try parking behind the restaurant.
Really anything on the menu is good!
Come and give it a try!

We came here while we were visiting salem and it was the best part of our whole trip! We ended going there both nights we were there. The food was amazing!!! Kayla, Josh, Sean, Brett, and Tom were absolutely so amazing! It was just my friend and I, and the bouncers there made us feel so safe, they made sure we got to our uber and left there safely. The bartenders were attentive and so kind. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!

Solid bar-style seafood with a great price. We went LDW and the lobster roll with fries was only $25! Broccoli bites were such a fun comfort food. Lobster roll was solid pretty solid! Good amount of meat, toasted and buttery bun, and the option of hot or cold. Music was super loud, though. They had multiple TVs with games on!

Known for “best beer on the beach” this lively Beverly MA indoor/ outdoor hang out has strong cocktails and delicious seafood specialties. Ranging from lobsters fried claims, haddock , pizza, sandwiches, pasta and so much more, their food hits the spot. Nice staff, security and vibe, a fun pub for outdoor bar or table seating while the inside bar is huge too. Food comes out hot, fresh and fast. Tuesday special twin lobsters & a side $19.99!

Seems like a fun place, went on Halloween and it was decorated very well. The food was delicious especially since we were starving, the fries were super crispy and the portions were big. Service was nice, big place. Ended up going again got some mocktails, blue lagoon and citrus cooler which were pretty good. Got the mozzarella sticks were were pretty good, standard. The Buffalo tenders were good I personally didn’t really like the texture but the person who ordered them thought they were really good. I got a cheeseburger and fries which was delicious. Our server was super fast and helpful. Great service, great meal.

Anchor Pub was our first stop in our Lobster foodie dream tour and it did not disappoint. The lobster was so delicious and vibrant in color, it inspired me.
The drinks were so yummy and with just the right amount of alcohol.
The atmosphere and harbor breeze were a breath of fresh air. We are definitely coming back!

The hubs and I came here for lunch yesterday; they opened at 1130, and 1230 the bar was packed, which was a bummer because we love sitting at bars. They had a lot more seating back by the bathrooms and pool table. They also had a cute little dining room area with a beautiful bridge mural. It took a few for us to be acknowledged and offered a table. But once seated, service was swift and helpful. Actually, how fast we got our drinks with how busy they were was a pleasant surprise. With most dive bars, I like to try out the wings to get a feel for the place. These buffalo wings were tender meat and crunchy on the outside, and oh my, that buffalo sauce was SPICY, and the heat built up with each bite! Maybe a bit too much sauce on them, but we managed to finish them all! Next time I think I would ask for the sauce on the side or lighter toss. They have daily specials, and the server was kind to describe a few. I chose the seafood pie, it had shrimp, lobster, scallops and haddock in a butter sauce topped with breadcrumbs. The dish was super decadent, and I could not finish. I chose to upgrade to a side salad along with fries. They are generous with the portions here, and the price is wicked inexpensive. Hubs got the fried haddock with pub fries and coleslaw. He said everything was tasty, but the coleslaw was a bit bland. Next time, we will aim to be there right when they open so we can sit at the bar, but there definitely will be many more meals here!
