Quintessential small town vibe. Was greeted with a warm smile at the front counter. Local Patriots were greedy me with smiles and hellos as well. Really seem to be a place where I could enjoy breakfast everyday if I lived here.
Moving on to the steak biscuit. It is the best biscuit in recent memory. Added a little cheese and they grilled the biscuit on a flat top. It was straight fire.
Highly recommend this is your morning breakfast. Stop if you’re in town or if you’re a regular.

We were in the area and my wife asked me to find a hole in the wall, which we love to eat at. I found the Anchor Cafe. When we got there andthe parking lot was full, which is a good sign that the food is good. We made it in through the rain and was told to seat ourselves (not an issue with us at all).
Absolutely wonderful! Our server (I forgot her name) was wonderful and very apologetic for the wait. We weren’t bothered with it because we weren’t in a hurry at all. The food was equally fantastic.
We will be back!

Home cooking place. Best for breakfast. Hubs couple eggs. Hash browns, toast and counth was great. I had the Philly cheesesteak which was just edible. On wheat toast, bland cheese, steak was frozen patty chopped into pieces. Mostly just no taste.

On our way south. Never been to Atmore before, wife says we we’ll be back for the fried children. I will agree. We landed here because they were the first that came up on Yelp. Had the chicken, Northern bean soup and Cole slaw. Want a bad bite in the bunch. Great, friend staff, pleasant surroundings. Be sure to stop by.

Home cooking, friendly, super laid back. Got daily special at 1pm, got last piece of cornbread which was disappointing because needed another for all the delicious greens served with sausage seasoning. Why do they close at 130pm? Mac and cheese was good, tea needed more sugar. Menu available upon request. No cards accepted. They really need to install a card machine, its 2022 not 2002. Chicken was juicy and delicious! Waitress was friendly I guess, I’m sure if I raised my hand she would have came over, but she did not check on me after I tasted my food. Daily special did come out hot, seconds after I ordered it. In all, if you want laid back atmosphere with good home cooked food this is the place for you, but don’t forget to bring cash.

Nice little place and very clean. Was greeted right when I walked in which is nice. Ordered the sausage/ cheese omelet, hash browns and biscuit. All were great. Omelet was cooked perfect, not overly done or dry. Had a ton of sausage in it. Hashbrowns were great with a little crunch and softness. Biscuit was fresh and had a little crunch from hitting the griddle for a minute. Definitely recommend stopping in here.
**Only complaint was that there was a customer watching videos on his phone at full blast volume. To me, it’s a common courtesy not to do this. Maybe thats just me. My hearing isn’t the greatest and it was very loud to me as he was right behind me. I had to ask for my food to go as I couldn’t sit there anymore.
To the lady who took my order and checked me out. It wasn’t the wait for the food (which wasn’t long at all), it was the above reason for me to get my food to go. Just sat in my truck and ate. Regardless, I will be back and recommend this place to others.

When I tell you that this food is Sooooo goood!!! They open about 530am and close before 3pm ..so please don’t miss a chance to get some great food and fantastic service. This is my own special recipe …pork chop on their homemade biscuit!
