Anchor Bar in Oswego was a wonderful dining experience. The dining space is both cozy and spacious, making it comfortable whether you’re there for a casual meal or a longer visit. The chopped salad was fresh and flavorful, and the wings were excellent—perfectly prepared and satisfying. We finished with a delicious sweet treat: a warm lava cake paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which was the perfect ending to the meal. The service was friendly, timely, and genuinely helpful, adding to an all-around enjoyable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

First time eating here and while the service was great the wings aren’t. Are they supposed to be this dry??? $20 by the way lol. I asked for buffalo wings and these are just plain. Probably won’t be back. Their reasoning is the wings soak up the sauce. However i taste no sauce. My 5 year old who doesn’t eat anything spicy is currently eating them with no issues.

Our server Natalie was OUTSTANDING! This was top 5 service of all time. The place also had the Cubs game both on FS1 and Marquee network. Great plus to the ambiance of the establishment.
We ordered 2 beef on Weck and it came with a side of horseradish that looked freshly grated, a nice plus. The kimelweck roll was soft and complimented the beef. Au jus was flavorful and the side of wings were decent sized and well sauced. We ended up taking most of the wings home since we were full.
The beer menu had a good selection of styles and listed the next round of craft beers to be tapped. I would highly recommend a stop here if you’re in the area.

Casual bar vibe with seriously next-level wings—hands down better than any I’ve had at Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, or Wingstop.
We tried a bunch of flavors: garlic parmesan, medium, chipotle BBQ, honey garlic… every single one hit the mark. Wings were meaty and super satisfying, and the fries were surprisingly great too—crispy and well-seasoned.
Service was just okay—not bad, just not standout—but I’ve heard from a few folks that Austin is amazing, so maybe ask for him if you can!
The place is decked out with a bunch of TVs showing different sports (think Buffalo Wild Wings-style), and the walls are covered in framed, autographed photos of musicians and singers, which gives it a cool, unique vibe. Music was good, and the overall atmosphere is very laid-back. You’ll see a mix of families, groups of friends, and regulars—definitely a chill spot.
The wings aren’t cheap, but honestly, they’re worth every penny for the quality and portion size. If you’re into wings and want something casual, this is the place to come to.

Honestly the best service I have had in a long time. From the second you walk in you feel welcomed. Food was amazing and came quick even though it seemed busy! The wings are a must!! We also really enjoyed the mac and cheese burger. Will be returning soon!

Our server Nicole was super sweet! The bone-in wings are great; the boneless are very large pieces; the grilled shrimp with hot maple bacon is a must try! Great flavor!!

The hostesses were super helpful, very welcoming and pointed us to the choice of our table. Ambience was perfect for a sports bar. They have a decent number of vegetarian options considering this place is known for its wings. Nevertheless, the wings were too crispy for my husband and the sauce choices were excellent. I had cauliflower bites and they were perfect. Onion rings were crispy. Labbat Blue light beer went really well with the wings and cauliflower bites. I’d recommend anyone in the area to visit this bar as they do share a good history on creation of Buffalo wings creation.
