Ancestor Coffeehouse & Crêperie (Lebanon location) is one of those places that’s busy for a reason. Every time I’ve gone, it’s been absolutely packed, and this visit was no exception. We actually ended up grabbing one of the last tables in the place.
The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a local coffee shop. It’s warm, cozy, and full of energy. You can tell it’s a community favorite.
We ordered two crêpes and a couple of their February specialty coffees, and everything was fantastic.
One of the crêpes we got was the Strawberry Lemon Cheesecake, which was sweet, fresh, and perfectly balanced. It wasn’t overly sugary but definitely dessert worthy. The other was a savory crêpe with called California dreamin’ with provolone cheese, bacon, spring onion, apples, and arugula with a balsamic glaze and garlic aioli, which ended up being such a great combination of sweet and savory flavors. It was delicious!!
Our specialty coffees for the month were also excellent. They had a fun Valentine’s themed lineup, and both drinks were rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I got the Not Your Sweetheart Latte and Ryan got the Chocolate Heartbreak Cold brew.
If you go, one thing you absolutely have to try are their chocolate covered peanut butter balls. They have Rice Krispies in them so they’re crunchy inside, and they’re ridiculously good.
Yes, it’s a local coffee shop, so prices are a little higher than a diner, but honestly it’s no worse than Starbucks and the quality, atmosphere, and uniqueness are miles better.
They also have multiple locations, but the Lebanon shop has a great vibe and is clearly loved by the community.

Excellent coffeehouse. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. We were greeted with a smile and everyone was very friendly. The food is made with fresh ingredients and it shows. I had the pumpkin cheesecake crêpe and it was everything I wanted. I was smiling with every bite. I also had one of their hot seasonal lattes. A bit too sweet for me, but I ordered with extra espresso to balance it out. My husband got the 717 Sammy and the apple walnut crêpe. He was very impressed with the flavors. We will definitely stop by some other time.

Drinks are excellent and sweet crepes are good too. The savory crepes are ok. It is pretty costly for the food for a self serve cafe. The environment is nice though.

Went here today with my wife, daughter and her fiancé for a quick bite. The space is really nice and has good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food all tasted great, we had a combination of bagel sandwiches, savory and sweet crepes. Hash browns were a little small and underwhelming, but not bad.
One huge caveat to this review is that the crepes are made with buckwheat flour and not all purpose. I didn’t see this posted anywhere in the store or on their paper or online menu. Problem is,I’m VERY allergic to buckwheat and could feel it in the first bite. Ended up visiting the ER to get things under control. Not the direct fault of anyone at Ancestors, but it would be a good idea to make ingredients like this visible to avoid this in the future.

Ancestry Coffeehouse in Cornwall is excellent—easily the best café in town. The food is consistently high quality, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming without feeling forced or gimmicky. I haven’t visited their Campbelltown location yet, but it’s on my list. As far as I know, Ancestry is the only place in Lebanon County where you can reliably get good crepes, and they’re a standout. I go out of my way for them and enjoy them as often as I can.

The crepe was perfectly thin and delicate, with a buttery flavor that melted in my mouth. The steak sandwich was packed with tender, juicy slices of beef cooked to perfection. Each bite was balanced with fresh toppings and a hint of savory sauce that brought everything together. The bread was warm, crusty on the outside, and soft on the inside, making it the ideal companion to the hearty filling. Altogether, it was a satisfying and delicious meal I’d gladly come back for.

Have been wanting to try this place after a few friends voiced how great it was and we were not disappointed. It was our first time trying crepes. We are definitely more pancake or french toast people, but they were good. The breakfast sandwiches and frozen coffee were delicious! We tried the cinnamon roll crepe, bacon egg and cheese sandwich, 717sandwich, and the frozen caramel latte. Staff was super friendly. The place is clean, including the bathrooms. They have a bakery case at the counter. There were a few people set up with their laptops to do work which is cute. They have a little reading area set up. A great environment with music that won’t stress you out. We went mid Thursday morning and were surprised with how many people were in there. You order, they call your name when it is ready, then you return your plates and utensils to a location by the counter.

Stopped here on a weekday morning to get breakfast and get some work done. Very friendly staff, and good selection of drinks and food.
I got the pig and fig crepe and a large iced latte with oat milk. Iced latte was perfect! Smooth, velvety and not bitter at all even though i got it plain with no sweeteners. Crepe was pretty good as well, but i wish they used real bacon instead of bacon bits.
Also extra points for their nice in house glasses! Almost every other place uses plastic cups and doesn’t have an option for glass if you’re ordering an iced drink!

Man buns, benies, and little mustaches! What more could you want from a coffee shop. Oh yeah, the coffee was good too. I can’t wait to go back for some crepes.

Wanted to try a local coffee place that wasn’t the usual Starbucks. Saw other reviews and decided to try it out today. I ordered the Iced Vanilla Latte and Nutella Crepe. The Crepe was delicious and looked very nice. I would definitely recommend if you want to try something local.
