The Ancient Greek queen of the Mediterranean was crowned with the title of Anassa, given only to unique women with goddess-like qualities. The title, similar to a “queen,” was reserved for women who exuded rare qualities and benevolent leadership. Like the Ancient Greek Anassa, we believe our restaurant stands out, representing all of the finest recipes, culinary traditions and ingredients from Greece and the Mediterranean – always standing out for our quality and attention to detail. We look forward to welcoming you to Anassa Taverna and giving you a bit of our own… royal treatment that only an Anassa can give.

Their burger is amazing, my omelet was perfectly made and they went out of their way to accommodate my friend’s food restrictions as well as our kids presence and misbehavior.
All the waiters were super lovely and nice.
Service was a touch slow, but was also nice not to be rushed. But having had some meetings after lunch, a little more urgency would have been appreciated. That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever had my water glass filled so many times in one meal, which was greatly appreciated. Nonetheless the staff were kind and patient with our party.
Food was good and very fresh. I started with the salmon tartare, which is paired with these very tasty potato chip like crisps to eat it with. For the main meal I got the chicken which was good, but not stunning in any way. The notable points though were the oregano fries on the side and the fresh tomato and dill sauce served on the side are what amped it up more for me. Lastly, was the highest point of the meal was the dessert, we all had the baklava which although just a small little portion, it was just the sweet little bit we wanted to finish off the meal.
The food here was AMAZING! All the staff, including food runners and busboys, were friendly. We had the lunchtime prix fixe menu. All delicious. For drinks, I recommend the sangria.
Thanks for a wonderful time.
We were a group of 5 and shared 2 mains, 2 sides, and 2 apps and we walked away pretty stuffed! Some of us had cocktails and shared a bottle of Greek wine and our bill ended up being about $62 (excluding tip) per person!
We ordered Lamb Kebabs, which came with 2 skewers, truffle fries, salad, and tzatziki sauce with pita bread. Good for one person or 2 ppl to share. HIGHLY recommend. The kebabs were so soft, tender and juicy. A must try. We also ordered a beef burger with fries, it was basic. Display was pretty, but there was nothing spectacular about it. Taste wise, was about plain so I wouldn’t recommend.
The brunch food, however, was on the level of a mediocre mass produced hotel breakfast. I ordered the omelet with leeks, potatoes and gruyere cheese. I was excited as the combo sounded delicious but it was so bland. My first suspicion was aroused after I was offered salt and pepper and was presented with a plastic bottle of iodized salt. The potato was plain boiled and I was wondering at the end if there was even Gruyère cheese in it at all. I doused everything in salt, ate until I was no longer hungry and promptly got the cheque and left. Shame. Perhaps their mezze is better, but I’ll not risk finding out now.
