Ananta is the best Thai food we have ever tasted, this wasn’t our first time here and certainly won’t be our last ! Sergio and he’s wife are the perfect team , the service here is incredible. We often holiday in the surrounding areas and everytime we visit Ananta is a must !! Cannot wait to come back really soon ! The penang curry and the Masaman are incredible and the duck spring rolls are a must !! Sergio is the kindest host and really makes you feel so at home. See you again soon guys – Darren and Lucy

I had the Tom Ka soup which I haven’t had before and it was absolutely delicious, the flavours were so creamy yet spicy, I could eat nothing but that for the rest of my
Life.
They also had a great selection of specials, I went for the sea bass curry with some stir fry noodles on the side and again it was very tasty indeed. Admittedly, I was incredibly filled up with food and not a bad price either!
I think next time I will try the spring rolls, the dumplings and also a Thai green curry. Thank you so much

Where do I even start! This place is an absolute little gem, the food is quite simply the best Thai food you will ever experience this side of Thailand. Everything is fresh with flavours that are just bursting, what an experience for your taste buds and endorphins. Genuine authentic Thai food that is good enough for royalty. Me and my wife ordered far too much, however we finished everything we ordered from the amazing starters, through to the incredible mains. Our eyes are definitely bigger than our greedy bellies but my goodness it was worth it. Sergio is a great host and his wife is most definitely an extremely talented chef! Purely and truly incredible. Thank you, we will be back very soon

Really great find just by Newport! Well presented on the outside! Serves as a pub and the Thai menu was great! Not overloaded with choice. And the prices were pretty good! Really friendly front of house. Husband and wife combo. Food is cooked fresh so perhaps takes a little longer than usual but totally worth it! Awesome flavours!

We received such a warm, friendly welcome when we arrived, and were treated to the most amazing food. There were plenty of vegetarian options, and the lamb and venison specials were incredible. We absolutely recommend the fish cakes and veggie spring rolls, as well as the Cloud Factory sauvignon blanc to drink! We highly recommend this fantastic hidden gem!!

We’ve eaten a lot of Thai food, in the UK and in Thailand. Ananta is good, authentic Thai cooking. The Panang Curry was among the best we’ve had and the Satay and Spring Rolls were also great.
Sergio and the waitress on duty were both warm and hospitable, making us feel very welcome.
With a full dining room there was a fair amount of noise, but this only detracted a little from the overall enjoyment of the evening.

Thai is our favourite food and here is one of the best we’ve had. Set in a lovely country pub. Massaman and panang were both delicious. Excellent tom yum soup and pad thai too. Sergio is an excellent warm, welcoming and attentive host and his wife is an amazing cook! Thank you very much, we will be returning soon.

Ananta is one of our local pubs/restaurant and is truly a hidden gem. Definitely recommend the place if you’re after some authentic Thai food with a twist of Spainsh taste but be prepared to wait.
Sergio and the other staff are very welcoming. Ananta is an excellent chef. Every time we eat in there we are never disappointed. The flavours are fresh and your senses are completely blown with how tasty each dish is.
Definitely try food of their mains board and highly recommended.
If you don’t want to wait then it’s best to give Sergio a heads up before you arrive. Ananta does all the cooking from scratch which takes a little longer than any other franchised restaurant where food is mass cooked and frozen. You’ll definitely notice the difference in the taste.
We love visiting this place, old countryside, rustic vibes. You’ll not be disappointed.
