Wow! This is some straight up Southern dining. I had a cheese biscuit that weighed about a pound. It was made with real hoop cheese, stretchy and gooey. The grits were good and they have Redeye gravy if you want it, I wanted it. Seriously, if in the area give it a try. Careful everything is really hot and fresh. Just like I like it.

Coming all the way from Baltimore, Maryland to Wilson, NC for a family reunion. Ask around to several locals to find out what the top breakfast/brunch spot was in the area and Amy Jo’s name came up several times, so you know we had to drop in. First, I’ll start by saying the hospitality was on point. Everyone was so kind and made us feel like we were regulars when we dined in. This restaurant is self seating so finding a table for our group wasn’t hard at all. Immediately upon sitting, we were greeted by our waitress who was very friendly and had a bubbly personality. The food was just OK in my opinion. The spicy sausages were very delicious and one of my favorites for the meal. The sausage gravy over what I would say was a homemade biscuit was crazy delicious . The biscuits are huge and very hefty and tasty. The fried pork chop didn’t taste seasoned and was very tough to chew (overcooked). The entire meal in my opinion was a bit above subpar, but the hospitality made up for the 5 star review.

11/3. Normally the club sandwiches are good. Today I got one to go, and I received it as a whole sandwich, not cut, with one small tomato, soggy lettuce and maybe 2 pieces of bacon. No plastic ware provided to eat the side of potato salad. This is the “quality” I would expect from McDonald’s. There’s no way this sandwich would’ve been presented to a customer like this if I had been “eating in” the restaurant instead of getting takeout.

This is a really good southern dining experience if you are into that sort of thing. The food selection is good and the food itself always hits the spot!

Great local diner! Food came out quickly and was super fresh. Loved the cheese biscuit stacker! The coffee was great too. If I’m in the area I’d go back, highly recommend

Just had to leave the drive through because Cars behind me were getting their food before me. I understand different orders take a certain amount of time and I had to get somewhere. I called to let them know I had placed an order but had to leave and asked how long it would take so I could come back and pick up, she never asked for my order, just seemed to place the phone down and proceed to go on about her business. After a minute or so, the line went silent and then the phone hung up. Now the line is conveniently busy. All of this within the past 15 minutes.

I imagine the food here is good 2 STAR FOR FRENCH TOAST, REALLY ONE because why is this 5 dollars’ asked for 3 she said 9.50. So this is basically light toasted with butter on it that’s it, and they are thin regular bread pieces

I loved everything about Amy Jo’s. I love to support homegrown local businesses. The parking lot was full but we found a parking place quickly. The decor was simple, yet wonderful! You can tell the owner is a Christian and not ashamed to show it. The messages on the wall are proof of that. The food was exactly what I had hoped for. A delicious Southern country breakfast! My Dad and I had the same breakfast, except my eggs were scrambled, and his were over medium. They served real country link sausage! Not the “want to be sausage.” We had cooked perfectly grits with a side of red eye gravy! If you know what red eye gravy is, you are probably smiling right now. If you do not know, then all I can say is bless your heart! We also had toast to complete the meal. Our server was delightful, attentive, and sweet. The breakfast and lunch menus are exactly what I like. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I live about 40 minutes away, but I will go back. To me, it is well worth the drive!

$17 it’s a bit extreme for these very small portions. They also charge you extra just for using your bank card..

The egg on this sandwich was so thin it was transparent, literally 1mm thick. I don’t know of any place in the south that would serve this with a straight face while charging money. coffee was decent
