Visiting from Texas, found this small little spot and tried the chicken parmesan melt. Although I was expecting something different i still enjoyed the sandwich. Fries were so good I didn’t need to add ketchup. Friendly service and good food!

I went to try this new establishment with friends and family. It’s definitely a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with exceptionally good food and service. We enjoyed all the various types of food we ordered. Shrimp tacos, grilled chicken salad, Pepperoni pizza, Greek appetizer and chicken momos were some of the best. The prices of the food were appropriate as well. They also had really good cappuccino, ice cream and sherbet which the kids enjoyed. We will come back again.
Also note, they do not serve alcohol.

We went to Amy Grill and Graze with family and friends and it turned out to be a great find! It’s a small, cozy spot but the food really stood out. We ordered a mix of things—House Burger, Special Biryani, pepperoni pizza, a Greek starter, and chicken momos—and honestly, everything was tasty.
Prices were fair for the portions, and we finished off with cappuccinos, ice cream, which the kids loved. There’s plenty on the menu to enjoy.
Definitely planning to come back again!

Okay, I was skeptical but saw their special on Uber Eats for BOGO on the cheese steak sandwich ($16.32) and I am actually not mad. The sub was decent and more like a gyro but flavorful and decent size. It came with fries too ( they were crunchy and fresh). Also got a large cheese pizza for $16.32 as well and it was good as well. So overall, not disappointed and will be coming back! Keep it up!

Place only had one person working it but to be fair it was 40 min to close. The curries need a rice or noodle to accompany them. Not just meat and sauce. Dispute these personal feedbacks the calzone was amazing! The service was amazing! The dumplings rocked! And the pesto curry was very tasty less again missing a carb to go with it.

Would recommend very much. Foodie lovesstreetfood.

I live in the neighborhood and really wanted to like this place. BKK, the former restaurant on the corner, did a lot of takeout, but it had a nice atmosphere to eat in, which I usually did. Amy’s is set up only for takeout, with boxes piled high, when I ordered to eat in on my first two visits, the proprietors seemed surprised. I ate out of the takeout boxes sitting at the tables, which seemed to be performative.

The final straw, and what led me to review, is that the owners didn’t bother to shovel the snow during the January 2026 storm, so moving around the restaurant has been a major time suck and dangerous for everyone who lives on either NJ or R Street. Every other house or building has been shoveled. I won’t be visiting Amy’s again due to the disregard for their neighbors.

They have a wide variety of food, so everyone could find something they liked. We tried different cuisines and they were all delicious. The service was excellent. They have a nice patio. It is in a lovely location. This may seem silly, but the water was the best I’ve had anywhere. I wish I lived in DC so I could eat there again.

Food was delicious, staff was very helpful and friendly. This is a great new spot for Shaw. The calzone was freshly baked and the water was so cold and refreshing. Get over to Amy’s!

Had the cheese asiago steak pizza. Holy moley!! It was delicious and perfectly cooked. Thin crust, perfect amount of toppings, balanced, with great flavor. It could’ve been from a Michelin star restaurant. I will be back again and can’t wait to try more items from their menu.

I’ve order food from here twice – their pizzas with Bangladeshi-inspired flavors and a mango curry! All have been delicious. They’re a real asset to the neighborhood and I wish them success.
