Authentic South Indian Flavors at Their Best!

Amruth Ahar Foods is a true gem for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. Every dish feels like it’s made with care and tradition, bringing out the rich flavors that remind me of home. The curries and dals are especially tasty, comforting, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Their pickles are a highlight, packaged nicely, perfectly spiced, and bursting with flavor. And to top it all off, the sweets are also very tasty, adding the perfect finishing touch to a wholesome meal.

Having a curry point style place like this is so relaxing and comforting. It’s the kind of spot where you can simply enjoy good food without any fuss. It’s also great for planning time with friends and family, since the variety and authenticity make everyone happy. Honestly, it feels like a dream come true to have a place like this in the US. We didn’t have anything like it before, and now it’s nearby.

If you’re looking for genuine South Indian food with that homemade touch, Amruth Ahar Foods is the place to go. Highly recommended for anyone who values authenticity and taste.

Out of the five items that I ordered – Aratikaya bajji, ulavacharu, stuffed vankaya (dry), paneer butter masala – not one of them had anywhere close to adequate salt. Forget being spicy/flavorful. Perhaps there would not be a more total and complete waste of $54.
Meh food would have been better than what I had here today!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The food is authentic and fresh. My child was sick and I needed fresh idly batter as we ran out and the quality of idlys were super soft and very good quality. Very authentic food. I almost ran out of jackfruit curry to update the picture and it is a good thing if you know what I mean.

It is a takeout place only. I ordered onion samosa and Jackfruit curry. Onion samosas were tiny. 4 onion samosas for $5.99 is very expensive. Similar onion samosa at Patel Brothers Cafe is 79 cents each.

The Jackfruit curry was Jackfruit pickle. I don’t understand how they call it curry. They can add it to their pickle list for sure. It was tasty as a pickle, but definitely not a curry.

I went to try there for the first time by seeing the great reviews, but it was meh

Coming from DC, I was in the lookout for a new casual Indian place like those I loved. I came in and the owner gave me a few samples without even asking. It was so tasty I knew I was at the right place! It’s got a small seating area if you want to stay and eat. There’s a large selection of spices to buy, along with a huge case of fresh items. It was also extremely clean. I look forward to coming back! I recommend what I had this time: paneer masala, jackfruit biryani, gulag jamun, and the mango lassi.

Heard about this newly opened place from a friend and decided to check it out, I was more than impressed with their selection of food items. Kumar from the shop let me sample some hot punugullus, with awesome peanut chutney, I must say the piping hot punugullus were so fresh and tasty. I picked up allam pachadi, curry powder podi, dosai batter, punuggulus and jaggery jelabis, to try at home. I have tried all and I will definitely go back to this place as every item was fresh and very tasty. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try some fresh food.

If you really like vegetarian home food, this is the best place in Atlanta. Ava pulihora is outstanding and unbeatable! Fresh pickles, idli/Dosa batter, snacks, etc, are excellent! Restaurant food can never match home style food in my opinion.

Reading all the reviews we tried this place. The owner is a very nice gentlemen and was great to hear about their passion for food industry and how they make everything from scratch and all. Which made us all excited to try the food out. We ordered a variety of food items and our review is mixed as some were good and some didn’t meet our expectations. Will try to break it down based on what we got and what we felt about the food.

Mirchi Bhajji – was very disappointed as we ordered it based on owners recommendation and it was COLD 🙁
Majiga Pulusu – again was cold and we had to warm it up a bit but the taste was good and portion was good.
Arvi chips – was alright but a bit salty
Chintha Chiguru Biryani – This was supposed to be made with Tamarind leaves but what we got was jackfruits in it so no idea what happened there. A little disappointed with the mixup. Tasted good though.
Gutti Vankaya curry – was OK
Sarva Pindi – I was told it was a Telangana fav and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Mixture and other snacks were good too.

We will give it maybe one more shot but our first impression is that they need to improve on few areas based on our experience but I see lot of potential in this place as the owners are passionate on what they do. Good luck.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Family owned take out place. Fresh masalas, pickles, snacks and sweets. We got their protein vadas (made with black eyed peas), millet pongulu, Aritikaya bhajji (like paneer pakora, but with raw banana), and amazing sambar. Taking biriyani and eggplant sabzi to to for the evening!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful spread of Indian vegetarian food, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The variety and flavors were outstanding, making for a truly memorable experience.

I had the Gongura Pappu and Gurti vankaya and biryani. Which were all good in flavour and taste wise.

Overall, this Indian vegetarian meal was a true feast for the senses. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to indulge in delicious, authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine.
