I recently visited Amorino Chicago with my friends, and it was such a delightful experience. The place has a very warm, cozy, and elegant European cafe vibe that instantly makes you want to sit back and enjoy the moment. Even though it was busy, the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming.
The gelato was absolutely delicious rich, creamy, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. We tried multiple flavors, and each one was distinct, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. You can really taste how fresh and authentic the gelato is. The rose-shaped presentation is beautiful and adds a special touch, making it perfect for photos as well as taste. Every spoonful felt smooth and indulgent.
The variety of flavors available makes it hard to choose, and that’s a good problem to have. Whether you like classic chocolate and vanilla or fruity flavors, there’s something for everyone. The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful while explaining the flavors and recommendations, even during a rush.
Overall, Amorino Chicago is a fantastic spot to hang out with friends and enjoy premium gelato in a lovely setting. It’s perfect for dessert after dinner or just a casual treat while exploring the city. I’d definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago.

Absolutely loved the gelato at the Amorino. The taste is fresh and creamy and they have many unique flavors. I also appreciate that they offer good vegetarian options and clearly label ingredients in dietary restriction. Great place for dessert lovers.

Stayed up the block from this location while visiting Chicago, I was greeted very warmly by Marie and Andres. It was a perfect put stop on a night where the temperature was 10 degrees. They provided great service, the italian hot chocolate and a few tasty macaroons along with their warm smile nice ending to a long day.

Absolutely incredible gelato! I got the hazelnut and coffee flavors, and both were perfectly balanced, rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. The hazelnut was silky and authentic, while the coffee had that deep, aromatic espresso kick that keeps you coming back for another bite. The texture was flawless, and the presentation made it even better. You can tell Amorino takes pride in quality. Definitely my new go-to spot for gelato.

Let me say this… this location had us on line DROOLING!
Imagine walking into a place and your nose is met by a gourmet symphony.
The smell, the ambiance, the whole assortment of gelato? Yeah… they know exactly what they’re doing.

Some of these flavors still live rent free in my palette — smooth, creamy, and honestly too pretty to eat.
The rose-shaped scoops? ADORABLE.
The flavors? Rich but not heavy.
The display case? Dangerous — everything looks good.

Here’s how it works:
You can order at the register or use the new kiosk section they added. Either way, you pay first and wait for your name to be called. When time they create your order in front of you, and you can even sample flavors before choosing (I tested like three last time before deciding ).
The line can get a little hectic and confusing, so just know before you go. Have patience.

Inside was clean, staff moved fast, and the choices were endless without feeling overwhelming. They also have assortment of drinks on their menu.

And don’t play… get the macaron on top.
That combo is the one.

If you’re in the area, pull up. It’s a whole treat experience.

Went right before closing and had the best experience!! Visited Chicago with my bestie and wanted a late night sweet treat. This waffle with gelato was beyond amazing….. the texture of the waffle was incredible light and crispy! Staff was also very friendly and didn’t get salty because it was close to closing time

Very delicious and yummy, lots of choices and selections, just was confused at the beginning since you must order before you try. You’re not allowed to try at all unless you spend money so, just be aware. I just got the small because I didn’t need to eat very much and just enjoy the taste, I think it’s the best size to get, given it will cost you 7.50 already for the smallest.

This was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

The service was poor from the start. The female staff member who served us — wearing large ring earrings — gave extremely small samples when my daughter and I asked to taste three flavors. Each sample was barely enough for one person, which felt unnecessarily unfriendly.

We ordered a classic cup, but the ice cream was very soft and almost melted, completely different from the quality I had experienced here before.

The restroom situation made things worse. My elderly father needed to use the restroom, but the door was locked. When I asked twice the same staff member who served us the ice cream whether there was a password, she told me there was none. After several failed attempts, I asked another staff member and was then told that there was a password. This inconsistency was confusing and stressful, especially for an older family member.

What truly left a bad impression was the attitude. As I was leaving, the same staff member with the large ring earrings stared at me in an unfriendly way, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Overall, the service made us feel treated differently and not respected. Regardless of background or language, every customer deserves polite, consistent, and respectful service.

I definitely think this is an ice cream shop, mainly cater to the tourists. It relies more on spectacle than substance. The ice cream was not bad by any means, but the price it commanded was not because of the taste which was just average, but rather the location and the fact that a lot of people go here. When I went on a weekend, it was absolutely crowded and one had to wait about half an hour before getting the ice cream. You place your order, and then they call out your name, and then you make your ice cream creation, subway style. There are some seating, but it gets full really quickly on a weekend or on busy holidays. You can sample the ice creams before trying, which is nice. The creations look nice and definitely have very high Instagram appeal. I don’t think I will be back, but it wasn’t bad for one time.
