What a fantastic dinner at Amore Houston! The tagliolini with black truffle pasta was hands down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had; simple, fresh, and packed with amazing truffle flavor. The service was great and the ambiance made it perfect for a special night out. Definitely a place I’ll come back to whenever I’m in Houston.

Amore was a nice surprise – very elegant with an unassuming facade.
Great decorated and warm reception.
They do not have a liquor license so wi d & beer are the only spirits.
The menu was interesting and for being an Italian restaurant I was surprised to learn there were very few pasta dishes.
The service was attentive, although they frequently brought out the wrong orders.
Wine menu seemed varied, but not as tasty as hoped.
If seeking a “romantic” restaurant you may like this place !

My pasta came to my table warm, not hot .so did the meatballs pasta was cooked a little over. Not al dente as homemade pasta should be cooked .

My first experience trying anything from this restaurant was the buttermilk cake. I have a sweet tooth and I was in the mood for something sweet. I ordered from Uber eats and whenever I receive the cake I noticed it was significantly smaller than the cake slices from the one shown on a restaurant and it did not taste special at all. It was pretty bland. Had a wet spongy texture. Definitely not worth the price and overall I was not satisfied.

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary meal and overall it was pretty good. We made a reservation online and were seated immediately upon arrival in a nice, quiet table in the back corner. I enjoyed the Riesling, the croquettes, and my lobster pasta. I noticed the restaurant had a slight bathroom odor at the beginning of our meal but it seemed to fade as the place got more busy. It was completely packed by the time we left so this is a popular spot and a reservation is the way to go on a weekend night. One other review said that tip is automatically included in the bill. I can’t verify this because I wasn’t paying attention but now I wish that I had double checked I don’t like when tip is automatically added and the waiters don’t mention it. Side note- Uber is definitely the way to go unless you want to pay for valet! Also, I only ended up eating about half of my pasta and took the rest home. It heats up even better than it tastes in the restaurant, especially if you add a little heavy whipping cream and red pepper flakes!

I came here for an affogato on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn’t busy. Valet was $8 (no other parking) and the affogato was $10, so I decided to eat something to make my visit feel worth the valet cost. I ordered the tuna carpaccio (5/5) which was delicious and plated beautifully. Service was great overall, but the affogato’s presentation was poor and didn’t match the restaurant’s vibe. Ice cream was dripping down the side of the mug, the mug itself was a generic Tilly branded mug, and the serving size seemed small. However, despite the lacking presentation, it did taste pretty good. Overall, I was happy with the service and the carpaccio, but I wouldn’t recommend coming for the affogato here

We visited Amore as a group of seven and overall had a lovely experience: delicious food, elegant presentation, and attentive service. Many thanks to our server for the kind and thoughtful attention. Special compliments to the chefs — the octopus was absolutely outstanding!
A nice touch was the complimentary cocoa-dusted grapes, offered as we were leaving. Also, one of our guests was celebrating a birthday, and they received a slice of cake with a candle — a very sweet and thoughtful gesture. Thank you for that!
However, there are a few things future guests might want to be aware of:
— Bottled water is $9 per bottle, and it is refilled without asking or notifying the guests. We were not informed in advance and assumed it was regular table water, as is customary in many restaurants.
— A 20% tip is automatically included in the bill, with no option to adjust the percentage (for example, to 15%).
— The website mentions parking is $6, but we were charged $8. It’s a small difference, but accurate information matters.
All in all, we had a great evening and truly appreciate the food, service, and atmosphere. We hope this review helps others plan their visit.

My wife and I went here for restaurant weeks and did the brunch menu. Wow, the lemon ricotta pancake was amazing! It was just the right balance of sweet and tart. My second course was the New York strip steak and it was very tasty as well.

Last night, the Hubby and I tried Amore for the first time. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. For appetizers, I ordered the octopus—absolutely delicious! The Hubby went with the potato croquettes but wasn’t impressed.
For our main course, I had the filet. It was overcooked (I asked for medium rare), but surprisingly still flavorful and enjoyable. The Hubby ordered a pizza and loved it—crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor.
One thing that threw me off was a gentleman—either the owner or floor manager—who kept coughing loudly throughout the restaurant, which is quite small. Also, we arrived at the start of the evening shift, and several staff members were gathered near our table talking loudly, which made the space feel even more cramped.
We may give it another try down the line, but for now, it won’t be at the top of our list.
