I got a Dosa and Dahi Vada which was ready quickly. The Dosa was super crispy but very brittle. It broke into pieces when I tried to get through it. I do like my Dosa crispy on the outside but it should have a little give so you can wrap the masala (potato stuffing) inside without it shattering. The Sambar was hot and delicious. The accompanying sauces were average.
Dahi vada was also just average. Lacked flavor despite the sauces.
Most foods were flavorful. My favorite dish was dosas. You dip it into a soup/sauce and they go really well together. It’s a bit exotic but think of it like you dip a piece of bread into a bowl of tomato basil soup. I liked it.
Service was ok. It’s a self-serve, order at the counter type restaurant; however, staffs were not friendly or didn’t seem happy to answer any questions.
Atmosphere is ok. It has plenty of parking spaces and lots of sits. They do get filled up quickly during lunch hours.
Overall, it was a great experience to try southern indian food. I can come back here to have dosas again.
I ordered veg cutlets, dosas, and even tried the Gulab Jamuns and ras malai. The dosas were crispy, with potato filling served with chutney and sambar. The apps and Gulab jamuns were good as well. I wouldn’t recommend Ras malai as it didn’t taste fresh.
The service is very quick and counter top style. This is no-fuss casual restaurant that serves good quality Indian food! I would highly recommend this spot if you are looking to grab a bite!
