Amilias is amazing. They have the most authentic tacos I have had around here. I’ve spent lots of time in southern California and Mexico and I can easily say Amilias is easily right up there. Other than in Rosarito, mexico, these are the best tacos I’ve ever had. These tacos are the real deal. I just love that I can get an amazing authentic taco right in my backyard and I don’t have to jump on a plane to get a one. Amilias is my go to spot.

We ate at Amilia Taqueria twice the week we stayed in Yarmouth. The Chicken Enchiladas Suizas was so delicious! My wife ordered it the first time we ate there and I got tacos (which were also delicious) but we both got the enchiladas on our second visit. The dish comes out piping hot and the tomatillo sauce is sooo good! Wish we had this restaurant back home in Alabama!

Go to this restaurant.

I am from Southern California and hang out with Mexican food multiple times a week.

They give you chips and salsa when you sit down. The salsa is one of the best I have ever had in taste and consistency. I had a corona to drink but I saw all of the other cocktails that were being served from their FULL bar. There is a big tv at the bar area that had the football game on. I also appreciate that!

They have amazing service in a really cool environment. I had the elote appetizer and 4 tacos.(shrimp, birria, el pastor and carne asada. I got rice and beans with mine too and had the churros with chocolate for dessert. Those churros had come out of the fryer seconds before I got them. They were the hottest most delicious churros I’ve ever had.

This restaurant is doing everything perfectly. It was a perfect meal.

Go here and have the best meal you’ve had in a while.

The BEST Mexican on the Cape! Authentic food, the service is excellent and the restaurant is so cute. You can tell the food and the restaurant decor were made with love. The owners are so kind and extremely nice to talk to. The potato taquitos are sooo good, the birria tacos had the best flavor and so did the pastor tacos! Will definitely be back!

We went to Amilia’s and had a wonderful meal. We started with a spicy margarita. This was made perfectly and so refreshing. My wife got three different tacos, the fish, chorizo and el pastor. All three were great but the fish taco was her favorite. I got the Quesa birria meal and it was delicious. The beef was perfect and the broth consomme’ was out of this world. The owner came around to check on us and had a lovely chat with her. We will definitely be back soon

5 stars – A Flavorful Gem in Hyannis

Amilia Taqueria & Bar is the kind of place you walk into once and immediately know you’ll be coming back. You’ll find this spot right in the middle of Hyannis, and it’s totally worth a stop. This small but vibrant taquería delivers an authentic Mexican street food experience that’s rare to find on Cape Cod.

The space itself is cozy and colorful, with warm lighting and little design touches that give it a welcoming, homey vibe. It’s casual enough to pop in after a beach day but charming enough for a laid-back dinner date or hangout with friends.

Now, onto the star of the show: the food. I started with their famous birria tacos, which honestly lived up to the hype.
I also tried their al pastor, which had that perfect balance of smoky-sweet flavor .
The carne asada taco had beautifully seasoned steak, cooked just right with a little chew and a lot of flavor. My absolute favorites were the fish, shrimp, and chicken tacos — seriously, I’ve never had that much flavor packed into one bite. Each one was seasoned perfectly, like someone really took their time getting the balance just right. The fish was crispy and fresh, the shrimp had this juicy, slightly smoky flavor, and the chicken? Super tender and loaded with spices that hit all the right notes
All the tacos came topped with finely chopped onion and cilantro, plus lime wedges and two house salsas on the side — a mild verde and a smoky red with some real heat.

What impressed me most was the quality of the ingredients — nothing tasted pre-packaged or rushed. Even the tortillas seemed freshly pressed, and the salsas tasted homemade. They also offer quesadillas, burritos, nachos, street corn, plus drinks like mocktails super refresing , until they have their licor license

The service was excellent. The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful with suggestions, and quick to serve. I appreciated how clean the space was, too — even the tables were wiped down quickly between guests.

Pricing is very fair for the quality. Taco Tuesday prices are incredible.

Everything feels like it’s made with care, and the flavors are on par with places I’ve tried in Southern California and even Mexico.

If you’re in Hyannis — whether you’re local or just visiting — don’t miss this spot. Amilia Taqueria is a true gem, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to bring people back to. Next time, I’m definitely trying the burritos quesadilla and some churros.

Amilia Taqueria was really really good! I don’t live on the Cape but I wish I did after eating there! Friendly, professional service on top of amazing flavorful birria, carnitas y pollo tacos. The margarita special was so good, I could drink it all summer.
Don’t hesitate if you’re down for some authentic Mexican flavors!
