We love coming to this restaurant. The staff is always already friendly from the hostess to the waitresses to the managers. The food is always very delicious and we never have any complaints. They serve generous portions and have a great atmosphere as well. We will be back for that Mexican pizza. Definitely a downriver hidden gem!

The best in downriver. Great service. The memories made here. Been going here since the early 90s. Not much has changed. Good food. Good service. Chips and salsa are great. Best to mix medium and hot salsas imo.
Taco salad is amazing with the salsa for sauce. I would also recommend getting the steak fajitas. They are great without breaking the bank.
Local secret: They still serve flautas even though they are not on the menu anymore, just ask.

Botanna was just as good as the first time I had it 25 yrs ago! My husbands burritos were excellent. Our server was amazing. We love the family atmosphere.

I have to give 5 stars because Maddie was the best waitress we have ever had. She not only made sure her tables and guests were good but she was helping out other tables, guests and co-workers at the same time. She deserves a raise and is definitely a shining star there.

We stopped in on a whim and were met with a pleasant atmosphere, courteous staff, and delicious food! The food is scratch-made in house and the owners clearly have pride in their restaurant.
Amigos offers specials Mon – Thu including their combo deluxe which is one of the meals we ordered.
Edited : We went back twice since writing this review and it was just as good on those return visits – not a fluke, just a great restaurant.

The staff was friendly. The food was okay, i can’t say it’s the best but it was average (comparable to other maybe non-authentic restaurants). The waiter brought the steak chiminchanga, however we asked for beef. The nachos were okay too. I also want to point out that the servings were large and filling. I did enjoy the rice and refried beans. I also liked the ambient of the restaurant. I may return for a quick bite another time.

This was the worst experience i had here. We eat here 2 to 3 times a week. Today we order 2 enchiladas dinners and i order half pint mild sauce. First the mild sauce was half frozen and it had such a poweful chili or onion power taste to it you could not even eat it.Second on my dinner the enchiladas had hardly any cheese on it as i show in the pictures and then with husband enchiladas dinner he had the chicken and in one iit had maybe 2 teaspoon of chicken, and with his rice they use either hot peppers or something cause rice shouldnt have a hot taste. And they closed at 7 so i tried calling at 653 and noone answer. Will be taking the mild sauce back up there there change you 5 bucks for it. It sad when you pay good money for food now you at least expect to be able to eat it.. pry wont be going back anytime soon or st all.

This is usually a hit or miss quality dinner. This time it was a definite miss. This is the absolute worse Mexican food I have ever had from them or anywhere. Last meal I had to take back because it was absolutely terrible. This meal was worse. Not to mention it was so bad that after not eating all day it was still the worse ever. When I called to tell them, they asked if I wanted to bring it back. At first, I said yes then called back saying never mind, that was the second time I would have had to return my meal. I just told her I am not coming back and will be taking my business elsewhere. The person who took my order on the phone and who was at the cashier area when I went to pick it up had an attitude. Her attitude was so bad that I even asked if she was all right, she said she was fine and I told her she was a little aggressive. Maybe she was mad because she had to work on a Saturday evening. Not my problem. She is definitely in the wrong position or business.

On Wednesdays, they have wet burrito dinners for $9.95. Not a bad deal at all. They are quite large and served with beans and rice.
They hook you up on the chips and sauce as well. They bring out such a large basket of corn chips that you could just fill up on that alone. The hot sauce is thick with a strong taste of cumin. It is served at room temperature and is quite spicy.
The service is exceptionally prompt. You don’t have to wait around for refills or flag down workers. Right as I was done finishing my water, the waitress was already bringing me another one.
The location is kind of tucked away behind other businesses. So the place really doesn’t jump out at you when driving by. Despite that, the place was quite crowded.
Overall, while this place isn’t particularly high end, the prices are very reasonable and the service is exceptional.
