I ordered for the first time and will absolutely be back! The carnitas tacos are incredible- first of all, the double corn tortillas have great flavor and do not fall apart. The tacos are STUFFED with meat, I was actually in disbelief how much was in each taco, and the carnitas was delicious. Overall, a super well executed street taco! Their house made salsas are incredibly fresh and packed with flavor as well, but I will say, they are quite mild (not necessarily a negative for some people!). Excited to try more off the menu! 10/10 recommend

Good veggie burritos. I had a good experience customizing – the veggies include zucchini, peppers, onions and mushrooms and not everyone in my family likes all that. They got my order right when ordering on the phone or online. The veggies taste fresh. I especially like the salsa verde. It’s not really a sit down place, I’ve only gotten take out.

We were absolutely dazzled by our burritos. The best Carnitas I have ever had, soft and deliciously marinated on the inside with a little crunch on the outside, phenomenal. As we were eating, our dinner table was filled with the sounds of “mmmmmmm” and “wow,” even by our 6 year old. Every ingredient was fresh and delicious, even the rice was somehow fluffy and higher quality than your usual Mexican rice. So nice to discover a new gem. We will be going back repeatedly and hope the quality maintains.

So I was so excited to see this place open in my town! I’m a huge fan of Mexican food. I was so let down by this place. As I waited for my food it smelled amazing but after getting it home and eating I was sadly disappointed. My husband didn’t even continue eating after two bites. They used maybe the cheapest cut of chicken possible. You felt the crunch of the cartilage in the quesadilla. So sad because there’s so much potential here but this place is not it.

The guacamole and chips were fresh and delicious. The steak burrito bowl was very tasty! The portion size on both items was very generous. I will be ordering from Amigos Canteen again!

Great food!!!! Has officially replaced our go to Mexican take out! I got the steak burrito and my husband got the steak tacos! Soo good! The salsas were also awesome! Highly recommend ordering from here!

We ordered fish and steak tacos with no cilantro and no onion. Turns out that’s ALL they put on their tacos. No sour cream, no guac, no lettuce, no tomato, no cheese. So what we got are flour tortillas with steakum type steak on it. THAT’S. IT. And the fish taco was a fish stick with maybe tartar sauce under it…uncertain on that one, though that did have some lettuce or coleslaw maybe. Upon receiving our order, we called to verify that tacos come with ONLY cilantro and onion, and they basically verified it…not even rice on the side. So $15 for just 3 tacos consisting of just protein and a flour tortilla – no sides, no toppings. They did say “next time” we order they’ll include sour cream if we ask, but there won’t be a next time. It’s an unfortunate way for a new business to start out that we were excited to try.

Only good thing was the guac. All the food (nachos, carnitas bowl, and chicken bowl) tasted more Indian than Mexican, with heavy curry flavoring. Also, the nachos had liquid cheese on them, not melted cheddar. The chips were very greasy. Do not recommend.

Tried take out for the family. We are big Taco lovers. Got fish, chicken, steak, shrimp tacos. Got the chicken nachos and some empanadas.
Overall ok. Tacos was a bit bland and some tabasco helped out. If you want great tacos then Tacoria in Paramus is the place to go. But if you are lazy and local then Amigos Canteen is ok. Just don’t expect anything spectacular in taste.

We have ordered from here a few times now and the food has always been great. Carnitas burrito is HUGE and delicious. Love the quesadillas and burrito bowls as well.
