Amigo Mexican Restaurant has a beautiful and colorful ambiance. The music was quite loud, though. The lunch specials were okay. The burrito literally had ground meat and nothing else. The tamale was the best thing here, but they only offer pork tamales. The plates were super hot. The portions were a great value for the money. Our service was confusing, bringing out the wrong drinks and asking us to pay up front, yet they took our payment at the table. Lunch specials board can only be seen when leaving. Overall, it’s not a terrible experience but also not the best we’ve ever had.

The food has options for more authentic Mexican food and for amercanized Mexican food. The dishes are not sweet, the onions are not caramelized, they are fire grilled. There is everything from fajitas and flautas to ceviche. The servers are nice, the decor is hand painted and carved items from Mexico, it’s a great location for a party. Sundays they have a mariachi band while you eat, and they take requests. Very inclusive and warm, I recommend trying this place.

Love trying new places wasn’t impressed at all. Asked for a draft beer on the menu. Nope don’t have it. Chips were thick and cold salsa was garbage. Jarred salsa would have been better. Food was bland as could be. No hot sauce on table. Decor was straight out of a B budget film. Hopefully they will get it together. Maybe I’ll try again in a few months

Typically the food is great and the service is good but sometimes the service might slack a bit, but that’s anywhere. I did order a takeout one I thought I was going to get seated but that was not the case LOL but I wasn’t really upset about it. It was at about 8:43 and they close at 9:00. I ordered a burrito supreme and when I got to my destination it did not have the cheese dip on it which is one of the reasons why I order it and it seems like it was the roughest cuts of meat with a lot of Grizzle and fat and even some grit from when they were cleaning the grill or something. Even after that experience I still went back because I know overall it’s pretty decent. Comparison pictures. The average breeder that I get versus the obvious takeout LOL

Food portions were generous and it was delicious. I was not very hungry, mostly went for my son to eat, but the pork Chile verde was so delicious that I ate all of it (minus sides). Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Would definitely come back.

The food was pretty good, fast and hot. My opinion is that they could do a little better on the service, being that our server disappeared for long periods of time. While I had nothing to drink or napkins during the meal. Overall, I would go back and try it again.
