GREAT FOOD! Mexican & American Amigo Cafe started (spicing) in 1983 when Richard & Esther Martinez fulfilled their dream of sharing their family recipes with the world. Prior to opening Amigo Cafe, the Martinez family recipes were only available at the family dinner table. All of Amigo Cafe’s mexican food is homemade from scratch using finest quality ingredients. In 1999, the Martinez’s decided it was time to retire.. The Price Family loved Amigo Cafe’s food and wanted to keep the Amigo tradition alive. The Price family now own and operate the restaurant. They have kept true to the Martinez Family recipes and traditions. Amigo Cafe has been written about in many publications including Cowboys and Indians, News from Indian Co

Casual spot in a secluded area serving Mexican & American staples including burgers since 1983.

Great little place my wife & I really enjoyed, the food was pretty amazing, the service was super friendly and fast. Nice small place that feels very lively when you sit down to eat, many of the locals go here, the portions are huge as well so be ready to doggie bag some. We definitely will hit this place up again if we are in this area in the future.

Nice little restaurant. The staff were all very nice and helpful. There are not too many real restaurants in town(just fast food) so this place is busy. We had to wait a bit but got served quickly once inside. The inside was nicely decorated and the seating is limited. We enjoyed our meal. We ordered normal Mexican food. We come from an area that is primarily Sonoran style food so it’s a little different than what we normally eat but it was well prepared.

A must stop if you’re in town or passing through. Their attention to detail, taste, presentation, and service are extremely noticeable.
You can tell the staff care for the restaurant as they provide a positive experience for everyone. They are knowledgeable on the menu and provide excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food….the food is AMAZING!!!! If they have specials, I’d highly suggest getting them before they disappear.

We found this quaint little café on our drive from Monument Valley to the Grand Canyon, and it turned out to be such a beautiful surprise. The location is peaceful with scenic views all around — a perfect break on a long road trip.

We grabbed a meal here and everything was delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and just what we needed before getting back on the road. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and you can really feel the charm of the area.

If you’re passing through, definitely stop by for good food, great coffee, and a relaxing pause from the highway. Highly recommend!

This is a gem of a restaurant! The server was extremely helpful. The menu has classics and creative new menu items. Husband had an enchilada/tamale/tostada trio. I had a blue corn fry bread topped with grilled shrimp, arugula, mango salsa, and a lime-cilanteo crema. You won’t get this anywhere else….every bite made from scratch. Bravo, chef!

On the road from Durango to Flagstaff doing some sightseeing and got hungry and looked place up closest and this popped up with good reviews so we thought we’d try it. So glad we did! Everything tasted good! What was amazing was my husband got a burger instead of bread it was on Indian fry bread made from blue corn. It looked amazing. He can only eat half of it we took the other half with us and he had it today for lunch and it was equally as good. Definitely give this place a thumbs up!

Great food and atmosphere. I ordered the three sisters burito and added shredded beef. This burrito was so delicious. The pumpkin mole was superb. My husband ordered the pork pozole which was delicious but spicy. The blue corn fry bread was really good as well. For dessert we ordered the special which was an apple pie nachos. It was too much for us but it was very good. It could have used more ice cream.

After a nice visit to the Monument Valley we stopped in for an afternoon coffee and snack. There was limited seating which required a wait or a reservation. We were able to wait at the bar seating and take out without any additional wait to be served. The menu was full of flavorful selections and local flair. The staff was friendly and helpful as we made our choices. While we waited for our drinks and food we took a look at thier swag area, and bagged coffee beans for sale. The drinks were served with some nice aesthetic designs which was nice. We also ordered fry bread, and blue corn fry bread which were served with powdered sugar and/or honey on the side. The food and drinks were delicious and I would expect anything on the menu to be of the same delicousness. I would come back here and recommend it for weary travellers in need of refreshment.

Amigo is a hidden gem for tourists looking for great meal and gourmet coffee/ tea in the area. Although the modest unassuming exterior isn’t fancy you can tell by the fancy rental SUVs parked outside that the big spending tourists have caught on! The shrimp Chalupa fry bread ( order a side Guacomole) was so good we stopped by second time on our way out of Monument Valley. Also the spicy Chai Latte tea was fantastic. Thanks Billy and the entire team for hosting us! I suggested that they open restaurant in Monument Valley because they would print money with the number of wealthy bored tourists like us looking

A great balance of Navajo and Mexican food. I ate here on two separate occasions, and it easily stands out as the best food option in this area.

The coffee was excellent in the morning—likely the only place around with a proper espresso machine. The shrimp chalupa was my favorite; the corn fry bread was outstanding and paired beautifully with the shrimp and arugula.
