Appetizer: [Pictured] Do not sleep on the Guac! Super fresh and vibrant! The Fresno chilis and pepitas add complexity to what is normally a simple dish.
Salads:
– [Pictured] The Beet Salad has been a repeat order. It is a light salad, perfect before a heavy pizza, with bites of warm and sweet goat cheese.
– The Amici: An antipasto salad with a personality. It’s all about the crispy pepperoni.
Pizza: With all of these pizzas being a 10/10, here is a list of my favorites in order.
– The Arvant: A Greek salad on a pizza.
– [Pictured] Stellar Blue: Sweet, spicy, and creamy.
– Shrooms and Grass: A funky vegetarian pizza even an adventurous carnivore would love. Normalize asparagus on pizza!
– Campania: Complex flavor combination with different textures in every bite and spice sprinkled throughout.
Service is quick, friendly, and attentive. The Daily Specials are unbeatable. The vibe is “community.” We are thrilled to have visited this gem, and will continue to be dinner guests!
I will start out by saying that the owner Tim deeply cares for this restaurant and went above and beyond to give us a better experience our second time around. The waitstaff was even more incredible and attentive than last time. The pizza and cheese bread both had a golden brown and crispy crust. The pizza was very flavorful and the Calabrian chili cheese bread was 10/10. Glad that we gave this place a second chance.
Just to clarify, at no time did I ask for compensation, and at this point have still not had a response to my email to the owner of this restaurant. What I did say what that before I left the bad review that this experience deserved, I would like to hear from the restaurant, as I really don’t like to leave bad reviews. I can only conclude that not only did I get charged a significant amount of money for 2 pizzas that arrived ice cold after a 2-hour wait, the owner really does not find that to be a problem. My email is below, followed by my original review. I think my email was pretty damn polite considering the situation. You can judge for yourself:

Hi Tim,
My wife was looking for a good vegan pizza, and saw the review for your place. We live in Royal Oak in the 13/Main area.
We ordered 2 small pizzas, one vegan, one regular for delivery at 7:53 and given a delivery time of 8:55 which was a long time, but OK.
After the delivery estimate was pushed back twice my wife called the delivery driver who was finally getting to us. The pizzas finally arrived at 9:46 – one hour and fifty-three minutes after the were ordered, and they were ice cold. Not even remotely warm. The driver apologized and said that he had been given 3 orders with 30 items, whatever that means. He was nice and apologetic.
My wife threw her pizza in the oven, I had mine cold, as I really can’t stand overcooked reheated pizza. She liked her pizza, mine was OK, but I can’t really judge it cold, or reheated so I am reserving judgment.
I also haven’t reviewed you on yelp and google as I usually do, and that is only because you put your actual email address on your web site, which I appreciate. My actual email is below. I’m reserving judgment for the moment… as I don’t really want to rate your pizza without eating it in proper form.
I just wanted to let you know how ridiculous this was. I think you either need to control your delivery process, or go pickup only, because this is going to really damage your reputation if it happens repeatedly – just speaking as a pizza addict. I’m pretty forgiving, and tend to just not review places that suck, but an hour late and ice cold is just too much.””
Original review:
We ordered 2 pizzas for delivery, direct from the restaurant, 3 days ago. We were given a delivery estimate of slightly under 1 hour. When the pizzas did not show up after an hour, my wife was able to track them on the delivery app that had been provided, and saw that they appeared to have been driven within less than a block from our house to a Meijer store several miles past us. When they arrived, 2 hours had passed, and the pizzas were ice cold – room temperature in a cold car – I would estimate about 50-60 degrees. The delivery driver apologized and explained that he had been given an order with 30 items to pick up at Meijer before our order could be delivered. We did not order any items from Meijer….
I can’t comment on the quality of the pizzas because they were fridge cold. Not bad for fridge pizza, but not what we paid for.
Here’s the disturbing part. I immediately emailed the owner of the restaurant (listed on their web site) and explained the situation. I did not want to have to leave a one-star review as my habit is generally to just not review bad places unless they are REALLY bad, but I thought that this situation deserved a chance for the restaurant to explain and try to fix it.
No response, so here’s my one-star review.
IMO, giving your orders to a doordash driver instead or your own driver is lazy and cheap. With 2 small pizzas over $40, it’s not like they are giving the food away. Disappointed.
Just to be completely clear here, I stand behind everything I wrote in the email and in the review. It is 100% as it happened.
